Watching this made me realize I just really like TCGs in general. And having you explain the interactions and the meta (the "context" so to speak) makes it really easy to follow why anything is happening! Love it, and keep it up
Power equals more risk..fare. although the game is slower compared to other card games. That is what I like about Pokemon tcg it's beginner friendly. It holds your hand throughout the match.
Random note here, but I actually became top 1000 wild legend for the first time during the may season because of your hearthstone videos! Keep up the good work, Marshy!
I really liked the way you were presenting and explaining what was happening, but since I'm so unfamiliar with the subject matter, it wasn't really able to grab my attention all the way through. I'll considder having this run in the background later, but fir now, Pokemon isn't what catches my interest.
38:38. They displayed. They should have waited on putting video on down. They already had an energy I’ll discard. They could have put on down to get a pity and the other energy they had they could’ve used on Levon to retreat it. They probably still would’ve lost, but I would’ve tried that before. Doing it the way they did, I would’ve quit trying to take prizes and try to have run you out of cards using instant charge each time and penny up each one you hit. I play a lot of control and with you only hit 180. This should have been an easy game for a control player though it would’ve been a challenge you possibly could’ve won it but I’m afraid if they had knew what they were doing they could have run you out of cards.
I understand the explanation of the cards for the non PTCG audience, but for someone like me who does know what every card does and how it interacts from being an active player, hearing a lot of the gameplay muddled with card description reading took away from some of the classic marshie commentary. great video regardless, especially not alienating non-Pokemon players!
Wow, the power creep is real. When I used to play this game 50 health was a lot for a basic pokemon and now you've got abilities doing over 100 damage.
While I do enjoy the pkm content, it'll take me a bit to work through it as it doesn't hold me as well as HS or mtg would. I'm sure it'll be good though. Hope some other folks enjoy it as well.
13:14. You should have accelerated the energy to the two on your deck first drawing some cards that way when you use pokey gear, you were able to go further into your hand. Why do you call it lost remover it’s lost vacuum.

Used to play the pokemon TCG a ton as a kid, went and bought some packs recently and might try the digital game as a result. What's cool about it in comparison to HS is how hyper synergistic decks can be, like this one- you only have a few 'minions' and the entirety of the deck is in support of their attunement with each other. I've been getting back into the TCG more recently, so if this content ends up being worthwhile for you, I'll look forward to seeing more
Lucky you I have gotten into pokemon so I can watch these no problem. What do you think about this build vs the munkidori build, is on strictly better than the other?
@@MartianBuu Awesome! Installed it earlier and Im impressed with how much it's improved since the shaky launch Wish I had come back sooner it seems like a lot of fun so far Thanks for the content as always!
I’ve never played the pokemon tcg but I have a small stack of cards from a while ago (I love my dragalge card :)) was kinda interested in learning the game but was kinda off put by the cost of the game and the scalpers, is it worth using this online version that I had no idea existed to learn?
Its really cheap to play online, I just bought 100 packs for 11 dollars the other day. You have to go to third party cause theres no way to spend directly in game, the packs come from code cards in real packs (I use ptcgostore). They also just give you tons of free cards periodically. Pokemon is probably also the cheapest irl card game. Most meta decks end up in the 40-60 dollar range to build from scratch, and the outliers are like 80-90. Not to say everyone can justify spending that on a deck, but comparing it to things like Lorcana and MtG where you cant expect to build a good deck for less than multiple hundred, its pretty cheap.
@@MartianBuu thats good to know, i could probably buy some packs irl myself then and get kinda half fun of collecting cards and actually playing the game since i dont really have anyone to play with irl. Whats the name of the client ur using? and also are there good netdecking sites?
Im gonna be honest i know the basics of pokemon tcg but its very refreshing marshie trying lay out everything and making us keep up with the pace of little things that happen in mud game is extremely helpful

Felt like there was more editing than normal that went into this video. I hope your efforts will be blessed by the algorithm
The algorithm does not reward branching off from your channel's core audience. It even tanks the reach of the whole channel, not just one video.
Finally Marshie shows up his true face: a pokemon master of all time
Love the Pokemon stuff

Commenting in hopes this video gets picked up by the algorithm, I wanna see more pokemon content from you!
Yes, this is what I’m talking about, keep the Pokémon content coming
32:04. Why did you retreat you had the knockout. 120+4 grass for a total damage of 210

Chumbo Chansey? In this economy?
I mostly come here for Hearthstone content but this is one of the best videos on the Pokémon TCG I've seen recently and its a breath of fresh air
watching this again to boost algorithm

This one feels consistent which is why I like it, I havent really clicked with the monki one
Omg special shoutout 😳
You had me at Martian Buu and cards ❤
let’s gooo variety content :3
Wild really sucks rn huh?
Just so you know, the deck list at the end of the video only has 59 cards in it. But other than that great video!
Thanks, I believe the last card is super rod. Export doesnt like to recognize the special dragon set one
do magic next lol
Haven't played PTCG since online was replaced by live, how difficult is live to build a collection in? F2P friendly?
It ports over your ptcgo collection and uses the same code card system. They also just unload heaps of the new cards on you every set.

10% of your average HS views because, let's face it, Pokemon is only 10% as cool as HS!
So excited to see this, got into pokemon TCG a bit over a year ago and it's honestly such an underrated cardgame.
