8:19 You were expecting Raging Bolt, but it was ME! Water Ogerpon! Though the opponent might have noticed somethong fishy when those luminous was attached
From the moment I saw the ogerpons, I knew I had to make them work somehow. I tried out a deck very similar to this and had some fun, but I also had some terrible consistency issues. I've made some changes that both upped the consistency and turned it into a turbo deck, and I think it's much more effective now. Some of my changes/additions: Pokemon: Squawkabilly ex. Getting setup for that first turn is super super super important with Ogerpon, and Squawk pretty much guarantees you that perfect start. Typically I'll use Squawk and Carmine/Professors research to get Wellspring mask ogerpon setup for 2 KOs on turn 2, and it annihilates any sort of evolution deck. Trainers: The biggest change I made was arguably the addition of Pokéstops. I have 3, and it makes it so so so much easier to find what I might need, whether it's an ogre's mask, a pokégear, or an earthen vessel. It just makes it so much more consistent. I use a full play set of energy switches. Keeping the energy everywhere on the board helps keep the opponent guessing, and makes it so easy to power up exactly what I need exactly when I need it. 2 pokegear is also great in tandem with pokestop. Energy: I swapped out ALL of the luminous energy for 1 of each type (fire, water, fighting). This was definitely the biggest consistency issue of the deck, as I would have to just get lucky and draw into a luminous energy. Now, I can earthen vessel exactly what I need. I will say, with my list, you do have to be very careful about decking yourself out. You really do fly through the deck.
That is very useful, thanks! How do you get wellspring charged in turn 2? You start with Teal? Do you also swap for the other masks always or put some of them in the bench?
@@heirsolo08 there are normally two different ways. I'll either start with wellspring, attach a water/legacy, then use two energy switches from two teal ogerpons, OR Start with teal mask, attach water, teal dance one on, energy switch once, then ogre mask. It can go either way depending on your starting hand, and it's quite easy with Squawk, pokestop, and Research/Iono.
Would love to see your decklist on this! Been tampering with the Ogerpons since before TWM and would like to see your take on it! (Carmine and Squawk was a great call btw!)
Who remembers Deoxys from Holon Phantom!? The effects of this box is similar to oldschool deoxys during the Holon phantom set.. where you can switch deoxys with other deoxys in your deck.. but instead of it being an ability its an item card..

One such strategy I could think would also work would be energy switch to make Ogerpon more aggressive. Certain situations you would need to attack as quickly as possible
I’ve been working on a deck with the four ogerpons and a 1-1 thorton iron hands for the extra coverage and utility, kinda like what you thought that deck you played against was going to be
after playing with it a bit, would squakabilly ex, and carmine with lumineon v and forest seal stone make sense? or is it diluting too much? i been trying to make this deck work just cause ogres need to stick together!
So.... I started with trying to make an Ogerpon deck...and it slowly transitioned into a 10 type Love Resonance Enamorus deck 🤣...Im slowly tweaking the list right now, but it did beat full power ancient box (they drew near perfect) and I almost beat both Dragapault and Greninja... Its a little disheartening and frustrating, but if anyone wants to play a fun bad deck, I could throw in the list (also if anyone wants to help tweak the list)
first game with this deck, i hisuian heavy ball, see 3 LUMINOUS ENERGY IN THE PRIZES think “geez that sucks”, i research and hit triple research double ogre mask item vs dragapult pidgeot 😭
Is not even close strong deck, but is really watchable. I mean I watch tone of Pokémon games, but actually I never play it. I really enjoy this deck idea.
Hmm. Did you by chance lose to tinkaton? I didn't see the hearthflame ogerpon come into play in that match but my opponent had sinistcha ex in the deck.
I hate people like that first match, intentionally wait out the timer to hope your patience runs out and concede before they get fried, pokemon needs to do something about that fr, like if you’re not doing actions continuously, make it shorter and shorter
It ain't the game breaking anymore it's salty players literally getting up and walking away from their game. I don't understand why ppl don't just concede like a normal person instead of making you waste your time finishing out the game.
When the intended strategy involving the Ogerpon ex’s becomes a meme/rogue deck:
Its not as bad as you think!
@user-ye3ks9vz9uwith the new crystal ace spec all 4 masks can use all of their attacks for just a luminous and a grass

yeah ogerpon need the pokestops, they help you to discard others ogerpons and to setup really fast, and as a extra you can get energy faster.

Saw the match at Tricky Gym, I was rooting for you but Andrew hand was so good 🤣
Ofc he would lose to Dragapult Pidgeot, it's pretty strong and being able to get anything he wants
It was a good match!
Honestly i think the first opponent rage quit after getting ko’d turn 2 by Wellspring Mask 😂
Yeah that was nutss
Loved catching the preview yesterday during Mahone’s stream!
I’m glad you kept the mahone game in! I just saw it on his channel haha
Came here from Mahone's vid. Damn this gotta be the best crossover multiverse event kinda thing!!!

@LittleDarkFury the froslass that's does 110 plus paralazye is nasty and the jelly + articuno combo os solid. munki could work too

the match againt tricky :O
Tricky was literally singing a little victory song when he beat LDF
It was a fun one!

i been trying to make this deck work just cause ogres need to stick together!
Squawk maybe but i like not having liabilities in play
It would be sick if all of the ogre ponds had an ability like the teal mask one, so you could chain them
So....

Update...My 10 type just beat Dragapault and now I'm happy 🤣
Im trying to make the new clefable work with the metronom attack you should try it i beated dragapult charizard and other meta decks with it
Once "stellar energy" or whatever it is comes into the format, I'm assuming this Ogerpon ex box actually becomes playable.

When the brick constructs a tomb for the game 😂
I might try building this deck, coz after all, im a fan of that cute little monster ogerpon ♥️👺👹😢😈
Been playing this deck for a few days runs into a big problem when you can’t find trainers
Does poke gear help?
@@ksy6177 it might, but I can’t figure where you slot them in at
You misspelled Ogerpon
Wouldn't explorer’s guidance be better in this deck over the colress?
Maybe yeah!
You almost won against Mahone with this deck! Such a good match, seeing 2 of the top players go at it!
with e switch in deck you can go well spring turn 1
This deck remembered me of some deck before but i cant remember the name of it 😂
You should play turos so you would be able to lock some decks like vulpix vstar
Hey, could you make a deck with the new twilight masquerade scolipede
Grass ogre into fighting ogre is actually a solid combo
Yup!
I summon Masked HERO Ogerpon and activate Mask Change!
Someday I hope Ogerpon would be as strong like Masked Heroes in yugioh
Is not even close strong deck, but is really watchable. I mean I watch tone of Pokémon games, but actually I never play it.
I really enjoy this deck idea.
Is this the deck you used against Azul's Dragapult deck?
Wasn't it Tricky he fought?
Probably lol. I'm old.
It was mahone
@@LittleDarkFury it was an epic battle.
Not bad..But I would play some heal instead of so many research
Was waiting for this
Should of fire ogerpon the dragapult one shot it
Regidrago with ogerpon teal mask?
I like it!
I just tried my own version of this and it was a disaster hahaha
Hmm. Did you by chance lose to tinkaton? I didn't see the hearthflame ogerpon come into play in that match but my opponent had sinistcha ex in the deck.
Awesome Man!
can you do a video on palafin ex
When it gets fixed! I tried making a vid but it’s literally buggy
