RS660 is sexy, light, enough powerfull with decent suspension but damn, I don't like the twin sound in a motorcycle... Had one before, probably worst sound of any engine configuration but this one isn't that bad Even signle cyl can sound better. Having V4 now but for me, I4 is the best.
Hi im from Malaysia, thanks for review.I am also thinking about buying this motorcycle. here the price is only RM 60k, when compared to the 600cc category I think this motor is easy to manage because it has a 2 cylinder engine.
@@onthebackwheelI've owned three outright sport bikes - my last an RSV41100 APRC - and one sport touring( SV1000S) and one standard, absolutely NONE of them had a decent sounding exhaust. I understand it's not the same as hearing it in person, but if your mic does it any justice this HAS GOT to be the best sounding stock exhaust I've ever heard(albeit not in person😉) and one I'd actually consider leaving on - as crazy as that sounds!😁 Any reliability issues so far?
@@marcpeters4599 it's a great sounding bike for sure. I only had it for 2 weeks so can't comment on long term reliability. Hearing pretty good things though after some initial teething issues
@@onthebackwheelthanks for the quick reply, I assumed you owned the bike since the video was posted back in '21 - my mistake. I hope you are enjoying it even if it's only been a couple of weeks, maybe I can get lucky and hit the lottery here in the states and pick one up myself 🤞😉 have a good one and safe riding👌👊
@@onthebackwheel reckon if I dyno tune and get a full system would be fun like reving it out? Coming of a mt10 and a aprilla v4 would be to much for me plus I love the look of the 660🙂
@@ktm-kr9mm I used to have a tuono v4 and still really enjoyed it. Nowhere near as quick, but fun in that you could use all the power and not go straight to jail
That induction sound is so nice to hear, rather that than some silly loud exhaust
100%
Totally agree!
I bought one. The sound is addictive. And I cannot in good conscience pass by a group of people without letting them hear it.
Wow, she is beautiful! I love the the colors. You are correct sir, it does sound amazing. I love the rear end design! :)
quick shifter is a bit clunky at low RPM, but above 7000, oh men, it's buttery smooth!
100%
Does it have an auto blipper?
@@Mr_Glennyes it does, I’m pretty sure you don’t have to use the clutch to auto blip for downshifts either
I just love the sound of this bike
It does sound great

I think this one sounds great! I'm the same with certain bikes though, would never buy them because of how they sound 😂

It's a nice bike, go for it!
Great Information dude
Thanks mate
I like it so much, I want the RS and the Tuono(in gold)
RS is a bloody nice bike, go for it!
Thats stock too
Perfect !
Wow , she sounds like V4 sister
Does a bit
I like this channel
do you like the rs 660 more than inline 4 sounds?
I wouldn't say more when both have pipes, but certainly more than a stock inline 4
The up and down quickshifter is standard on all models?
Yes I believe so
Here in France the quickshifter is standard on the rs660 and is an option on the tuono
Is the intake original ? Sounds awesome
Yep, all stock

D'oh! SO sorry, I just re-watched the video and missed you saying you only had it for two weeks the first time I watched it 🤦 my bad!
This is good shit. Can it be ridden hard though?
Definitely
Ahh yes love that sound. similar to the 650 ninja
Sounds great but sounds NOTHING like a ninja 650
@@onthebackwheel maybe not similar in sound but its got the same parallel twin feel to it
Ninja 650 is the dollar store version of the dollar store version of RS 660 sound
so natural
Does this happen or love to rev out ?
It was a free revving engine, lot of fun

meaty
Idk. I am not seeing it. No hate but, sounds like a ninja 400, almost identical. No twin besides the tl1000 sounds good.
The tl1000 does sound great, but this sounds nothing like a ninja 400!
😌🇮🇹
Meh
LOL!
Perfect bike but sound is so poor....should be an inline 4 period. It sounds so weak and mehh otherwise jsut no grunt
No way, it sounds wicked 👌
parallel twins are gay....😄
Previously I would have agreed, but they are pretty rad now (with the right firing order!)
@@onthebackwheel True my Triumph Thruxton 1200 was a parallel twin and it was awesome.. but that said there's no replacement for displacement
