  • Aberdeen's Seaton Park is a gem of a recreational area where people can stroll, have a picnic, jog, play games. It has a lovely playground and playing fields. It has a lovely atmosphere, secret gardens and formal gardens, riverside walks, a steep wooded valley. And best of all, it's free. Even the car park is free. And the locals seems to really appreciate and respect it.
The walk starts just beside the car park, up the hill towards the entrance, left and up to the secret gardens, down and up the stone steps, around the back edge of the university accommodation, along the wooded ridge, down towards the River Don, upstream along the river, back through the formal park area, through the formal gardens, and back to the car park (and its quite late and dark by then).
