Thank you for this video. I have learned to crochet properly in just over a week. Now I have a present to give to my mother for Mother's Day. The orchid looks beautiful xx
It's 2am on Mother's Day and I've finished this project! Spent many an hour on this project but I gotta say, worth it 100% 💕💖 Used size 10 thread, a 1.40mm hook and made a total of 5 flowers for a fuller, yet delicate look, and gotta say I love how it turned out! Unfortunately, I didn't think to buy the yarn for the leaf, so that'll have to be an add on some other day 😅 Looking forward to seeing my mom's reaction later on today. Thank you for such a wonderful tutorial ✨🥰
I just finished making one for my mum after her real orchids kept on dying. It made the perfect gift! Thank you for your detailed video and written instructions😊
Grazie mille! Thank you very much, I made this as a birthday present. I'm receiving many compliments. I even used the same pebbles color, but attached the leaves at the bottom of the stem
I cannot tell you how much I love your tutorials. This is a wonderful project- love the results. I keep watching some of your Italian videos trying to figure them out. Hopefully learning a bit as well :) Thank you for making the Engish video, it is much appreciated!

I made the leaves and the flower, Just cant seem to get the buds in that shape or form as shown here, Im struggling LOL, The more I try to shape the flower buds the more it stretches ... I'm thinking of just buying the fake flower buds in replacement. Ugh........ the struggle is real! LOL Thank you for sharing this lovely tutorial Mary J. It is so beautiful and in "English" which makes it easier for me. Again,TY!!!!
Love the flower!!! So glad you shared how to do it with us. One question.... where do you incorporate the leaf? Or do you make several? Just at the base? Or added here and there along the stem?
+Crafty Chrystal Thank you so much! I'm so glad you like it! I'm so sorry I don't show it in the video, but I incorporate the leaf in the base... After placing the stem, I add the leaves in the same way and after I add the pebbles to cover the polystyrene! I hope I'm clear enough, for more questions... just ask me :)
+MaryJ Handmade Thank you! That helps a bit. So i place them like the stem is growing out of the middle of them, but don't attach them to the stem. Would 4 leaves do it? Never seen this kind of Orchid so am flying blind.
Crafty Chrystal Yes! I usually use 2 leaves, but you can ad as many leaves as you like! If you want more info, contact me on facebook! I can also show you some pictures of the flower with leaves :)
Thank you so much Linnie! You're right, this tutorial took a lot of time, I was tired and I noticed I hadn't add the leaves when I finished to edit the video :( you just have to insert the wire near the stem of your orchid. to the top of the pot I added decorative stones :)
Vutri Dwinova at the end , I was so happy to have finished the tutorial ( it took me days ) that I forgot to put the leaves in the pot ! I realized when I had already put away all the stuff! You just have to insert them at the two sides of the orchid :)
Thank you for a really easy to follow tutorial, and your English is amazing! you have a lovley accent!

Is the yellow yarn a different size than the petals?
The English instruction were very good. You do not say or show where to put the leaves. What did you add to the top of the pot?
