I too appreciated the clear parallels between what the father/narrator is saying about his (ill-fated) daughter in the opening scenes and what I imagine Geralt would say about Ciri. I've always loved how young Ciri somehow learned "kindness" from the supposedly "emotionless" Witchers at Kaer Morhen.
Glad Cloudsi got to see it, second time in this video, and it's been a while. I am ready to play this and in fact just fresh started Witcher 3 messing around in Velen.
The Devs have said this monster messes with your head by reflecting your insecurities back at you. Thus it telling Ciri no matter how hard she tries she will never change people's fate. She clearly fears that she won't ever really make a difference. And in this case it turns out to be true as the brave young maiden perishes after all. I love the aspects of heroism this explores: that despite terrible failures and persistent doubt you keep going and risk your life anyway. I think this passion and idealism are defining traits for Ciri.
this, elden ring and project century were the most hype announcements for me. Really interested to find out about ciri's association with what im assuming is the school of the lynx
One of these days I’ll finish elden ring so I can play the dlc and the new coop game 😂 also project century looked awesome! And same! I forgot to mention her necklace and eyes in the video! Very Interesting 🤔
The new voice threw me a a bit upon first viewing, but I warmed to it -- grew to appreciate the quality of the performance -- after watching the trailer a few more times. And by "a few more" I mean about 79! I love how the trailer is a clever restatement of the dark tone and complex moral stakes in this world as well as Ciri's passion to be a force for good in it. She can indeed change fate.
The new VA did great! I was locked in. Also agree! The atmosphere and tone was perfect. We all knew almost immediately that it was the Witcher including the big reveal that oh yea, there are consequences no matter what path you take.
Hi ma am. Not sure if you remember me asking you on the Witcher 3 on twitch but boy oh boy I wanna feel the hype you guys are all feeling as well. I'm gna pick it up for the 9th time and push through what I consider as a "slow start". Never the less I can see the excitement around this game.
I do remember Nanks! Maybe instead of starting from the very beginning again, start at wherever you last left off. I feel like it could be hard to play the same part over and over again.
@@cloudsi that sounds like the perfect idea. Glad to say it's exactly where I left off. Thanks for the advise Cloudsi. I'll hopefully report back to you when I finish it. Fingers 🤞🙈🙈🤞
Geralt will be the Gwent endboss! 😆 The bathtub made it clear that this trailer was about a witcher game! Thanks to her elder blood, she already could use magic and drink potions during TW3, at least she tells Geralt about it in Corvo Bianco.
lmaoo don't say that, then I'll actually have to play gwent for a change! And ah ok, I do not remember her saying that. Was it in the scene you get if you didn't romance anyone?
W4 protag should be Eskel he's alive in all W3 endings also Geralt & Yen would NEVER let Ciri do the trial or fight monsters without OP elder blood powers. The Ciri "Witcher" ending is ONLY logical bc Ciri had mastered space time pwrs she's WAY more powerful than Geralt & freaking defeated the White Frost that's the ONLY way you let ur daughter hunt monsters & even then its a pretty illogical MCUtard ending for Geralt & Yen. Seeing Ciri fighting a HUGE monster w/o green flash teleportation powers is just silly looking & ridiculous i laughed at the trailer 🤦♂️.
Love Eskel, but you should go watch the bad ending of tw3 again if you wanna see what happens when Geralt doesn’t allow Ciri to make her own choices. Other than that, who said she no longer has her elder blood powers? I have faith that the devs will give us a good explanation for everything. Theres no point in discrediting an entire game based on a 6 minute cinematic trailer.
@@cloudsi Just older? Hard disagree on that take. She has the same color hair and same eye makeup but looks like a completely different person. Much more so than mere aging would dictate. The entire bone structure of her face has been completely redesigned. Same goes for the shape of her eyes, nose, mouth, jawline, cheeks, etc. All completely redesigned besides the aging. If we’re wrong about her face looking nothing like Ciri, we won’t be seeing anyone talking about it. If we’re right, it will be heavily talked about.
@@bill8856I’ve seen a bajillion side by side images and her features are pretty close. Also you glossed over where I said she looks more realistic. This is a very hyper realistic trailer compared to how tw3 looks. She’s not going to look 100% like she did in that game in a cinematic trailer. But you’re entitled to your opinion. The way characters look are the least important part of a video game to me
@@bill8856 Yeah, beyond the fact that they are clearly striving to make a more photoreal Unreal/Metahuman version of her (less "cartoony" than W3) her actual bone structure is not much different, Age definitely makes the face "fuller". But I think the thing that is throwing many of us is that her eye color here is dramatically different. W3 Ciri has those very bright emerald green eyes -- framed by the dark make-up. Now she has "Witcher Eyes", but they are a bit dull -- certainly less golden glowy than Geralt's. I'd like to see them tweak that a bit. It would make her look more like the Ciri we know as well as help make her expressions easier to read.
WE ARE SO BACK!!
We’ve never been so back 😂 Ciri is an excellent choice for protagonist and I can’t wait
@@Acer0980 agreed!! I'm so ready to see where they take her story 👏
This was the best reveal of the show for me 😁
SAME!!! What a way to start it off.

This is great timing, I just finished watching your entire Witcher 3 play through!
Let’s goooo!
@cloudsi . Your title was not click baity. It was genuine and honest. I can’t wait for your play through and also I can’t wait to play myself
Witcher 3 for me was perfect. So I have high hopes for Witcher 4.
Me too! I have a really good feeling about it
I think its gonna be around 2027 or early 2028 release date
+ maybe next year will be REMAKE Witcher 1 ....
You think remake is coming first??? I feel like they would have shown us a trailer of that then right? That would be awesome though
This was so amazing I Screamed when I saw the sword and armor haha! And Ciri! AH! She looks amazing!
She does!! Her energy in that trailer has me hype!

@@cloudsi Yep, you had to end up with neither of the two sorceresses, and Ciri had to become a witcher, of course.
@@juppjames9635oh i probably missed that, too. But your right, she told Geralt about the use of black blood. Thanks for the hint.
I heard the game is coming out in late 2027
