I'm so confused... I don't have those options on the right hand side in my GoPro Player.. All I can do is view the video and cut it. I can't reframe it or export.
There are two icons at the middle top of the screen. The one on the left looks like a globe, the one of the right looks like a circle with a diamond in it. Click the one on the right that looks like a diamond and then you can do reframing, etc.
It may be a dumb question. I have mac and the goPro player that I could get is Version 2.1.7 (2813), and it doesn't have the controls that the video is talking about. Does anyone know whether it is the limitation of Mac or limitation of my knowledge :-(

HEVC ? I really don't get it. It doesn't matter witch video I watch, you just jump in start editing (GoPro) too. Please tell me, do I need this HEVC, becauce on my Win10 desktop it doesn't work
So I have the gopro 360 max and the newest version of the gopro player editor program and I can't figure out how to get all the options you have on the sides of your screen. I can't enable 360 view or click and rotate the picture or anything like that. I feel like it shouldn't be this difficult but I am struggling.

I use Adobe Premiere (not Pro) and you simply import the individual clips on the "timeline". Best bit for me is how simple it is to rearrange the sequence and delete unwanted scenes.

Hi man. Is there a way to remove the stitching line? I'm recording a video from the top of my bicycle helmet and it looks kinda sketchy because of the stitching line. It looks as if my helmet is in 2 pieces.
I used the tutorial, but mine freezes after about 5 seconds of playing the video. I can still hear the audio, but the video is frozen. It's a 3gb file. I'm thinking that could be why. I really loved using Theta360's software for my gopromax, but that was on an ipad pro.
So this app is good... I agree. but what if i have multiple 360 videos i want to edit together... or to add titles and all that? this player is more of a 360 flattening app than anything more substantial.
awesome video, subscribed! just a quick question.. I've a fairly decent PC (2080Ti i5-9600k) and when I open the video the quality is great. But after I move the camera around and start messing with the angles the image just gets with low quality. Like jumping from a 1080p youtube video to a 360p. If I export the video the quality stays low, it's not just for the editing part. Any idea how to fix this?

What version are you using? I'm on 1.3.2 and it's different from what your using. E.G. I don't have the toggle at the top center which you mention selecting the 360 screen. Also my timeline is different and I cannot trim a video the way you describe. If I select the scissor it appears in the timeline but I can't scroll or do anything to select the amount of video to cut.
@@The360Guy any idea how to export the 360 files from the microsd card directly onto desktop and still have all the functionality. I've tried everything I know and can't get the .360 file to transfer. It's always a .mov or Mp4. Also, the cloud for gopro takes hours just for a 3min vid.
Great video. It's really helped!! Just a couple of questions if i may. You skipped by the trimming section, which i'm having trouble with. I can only seem to trim one section, and not multiple, plus do you know if you can add music in the same way as you can with Quik?
I'm having an issue saving my project edits in GoPro player. I can add keyframes and edit transitions and export the resultant video but I can't save the keyframes/transitions/trim. When I try, it just creates a copy of the original .360 footage. When I open it, all the keyframes are gone! And if the app crashes during editing I lose all my work as there is no useful saved version.
@@ChrisDunavent I finally fixed it by unistalling the app, restarting the PC, reinstalling the app and restarting the PC again. It turns out that even the files I'd saved earlier had the keyframes saved but they weren't being restored when I opened the file. The other thing that some people had trouble with is that they needed to switch back to the keyframe view using the toggle in the top center of the screen.
I had the same problem using the Windows version of GoPro Player. Tried the uninstall, restart, install, restart option but that still didn't work. What I was doing was File --> Save As and creating a NEW file like "GS010065_Edits.360" for example. What I realized is that if I make my keyframe edits and NOT create a new file, just save over the existing file, that the edits would be saved and visible when I reopened the file. I also found that if I make edits, then close the program without saving anything, the edits were still there when I reopened the file (like it auto saved on its own).
My 360 video is lagging when I try to play it on Gopro Player, Also I cannot export anything, It just produces a file that is basically 0:0 time and nothing to show!!! How can I fix this?
@@btmorrison, yes indeed there was a solution. There seemed to be a conflict between two graphic devices. I deactivated the GeForce MX250 in the device manager since there were two graphic cards and now the export works :-)
So the GoPro Player still has the BS 90 second limit? That's the only reason I'm hesitating to buy the Max. Exporting using the exporter just creates a massive file, so creating hour long videos is a pain. I've considered getting the Insta 360 one x, but that thing shoots continuously for 30minutes, and stops only to resume filming after a few minute blank. GoPro Max : A 360 camera that splices the files into smaller chunks so it can film uninterrupted(Great video quality, but the exported 360 video is massive). Insta360 : Decent editing software, can be directly edited on major video editing software using an official plugin, but only records in 30minutes interval with a huge gap between(the image quality and stabilisation is not great)

@@KickAssets If you want long 360 videos(over 30 min), the insta 360 is out of the question unless they fi, it with a firmware update. The GoPro Max would be the only option for now for shooting long 360 footages with a decent quality. The file sizes when exported will be massive, but unlike the insta, it can continuously shoot without gaps(it creates a bunch of files which you can stitch together where the insta has a massive gap.between files). I would suggest to wait for companies to get 360 cameras right, and get a GoPro Hero 9 for now.

@@KickAssets To edit on a pc, you have to export the 360 file to a 5.4K mp4, and the exported hour long footage can end up being over 100GB or so. If you edit on premiere pro, I guess there was a plugin that makes it able to edit 360 gopro files directly. Maybe the GoPro Max isn't so bad if you don't do editing so much and just use the raw footage, but it's going to take a lot of time if you want to edit long videos.
@@hidazip Well since I am on the computer I guess I don't care about file size as I have tons of big harddrives. Can you not do this with the X2 as well? I don't think my edits would be complex at first...maybe just forward..recording...then sometimes show around me and back recording...i dont care about stupid unrealistic views like circle top or whatever.
what a rubbish application for such an awesome camera, keeps crashing on my very stable computer that nothing seems to crash on, they need to get this right, also you cannot get it to talk to the computer, so I have to take a tiny memory card out and put into computer manually. what a let down GOPRO, dropped the ball totally, unfair they have not got this right yet, so sick of editing on my phone

Yes big issue! Easiest solution for me is to reframe in the Player and delete unwanted scenes in Adobe Premiere etc

Edit all the individual 360's in thi program then use a different one, like movie maker, premiere pro or sony vegas, to put them all together.

Yes I believe it works for fusion, but I haven't got that camera so can't be sure. Davinci Resolve can also edit 360 video and there's a free version
