Every time I read a comment saying shit like this is "cringe", I immediately get the vibe that they're too afraid to like... have a hobby. It just comes across as insecure, and I hope that someday those people have the confidence to love something enough that they're willing to publicly show it off.
I went through a period of time in my life (probably due to years and years of bullying/rejection) where I tried SO hard to do anything I could to fit in and be what I thought people wanted me to be. It was exhausting, expensive and... Honestly not that fun trying to be someone that I wasn't. Now I'm 40 and I just want to do the things I enjoy and make me happy. Regardless if it's considered cringe or makes me a nerd. 🤷🏼♀️
Those people have clearly never had actual friends before lol, they really think that a group of people that go out and touch grass with other people, eat, drink and hangout are cringe Always cool to see more people getting in playing D&D, and you're making your own garb for the character which is awesome and I think your flower sleeve works really well with the garb

Yes, Jennilynne, you are absolutely right!!! I just don't understand why people come to YT, partake of the hard work of others who spent many hours shooting, narrating, and editing their videos, and then these jerks just 💩 all over it, as if their opinion actually meant anything. They aren't trying to create a dialog with other commenters, or the channel owner. They only want to denigrate others, and that **is** super insecure, as was pointed out by Bokatisha. Hopefully, everyone will see it as such. It's funny to me that folks like this, who make blanket pronouncements about others by declaring something cringe, or worse, denigrate people personally, by saying nonsensical things like, "Ok, Boomer," think that this is some big mike-drop moment for them...that they are above reproach and deserve to have the last word and the ultimate opinion on everything. It's really not the flex that they think it is, and they are just showing themselves to be the insignificant, annoying, pesky little bugs that they are acting like. Geez, grow up, already!

ive only played 1 ongoing campaign in DnD for a little while now, like less than a year. i love going to ren fairs and want to bring my half elf Rogue assassin Drayviin to life for them. i have a little to start but need more for their outfits.
you definitely should!! i really want to get my group to go as our actual characters i think it would be so fun. it helps me to be able to see it visually by actually putting the outfit together too

Yes, there will be some haters, who want to flex their puny insecurities by saying insulting things. I wish that I could tell you to just ignore them, and I wish I could make the nasty things they say not hurt. Those jerks are the ones with a problem, and they somehow feel as though they get to voice their opinions about others. They just want to hurt other people, and most everybody can see that. They are not trying to start a dialog. You are doing wonderful, creative things, and I'm excited to see what you will do next. Please don't let the jerks get you down. thank you for your words. the comments people leave don’t affect me, im happy and content with where i am in life and with the things that i do and share in my content. i know that the type of people that make those comments are just miserable in their own lives and that has nothing to do with me, it just makes people angry to see others enjoying life when they are not. and instead of working on their own lives they want to bring others down with them. they won’t bring me down 😊
I came from TH-cam suggestion. Every group has their minority that cause negative stereotyping. Whether it's sports, dnd, car enthusiasts, etc. I like geeky stuff and to some it is cringe but I'm an adult with my own money and I can do whatever I want and I'll hang around people that do it too.
I've been playing D&D and other TTRPG's for over 30 years. I've also been happily married for just short of 20 years. Mrs Ape plays, Ape Jr plays and even my teenage daughter has joined in for a one shot or two. These morons online just like to spout off when they know very little about the hobby or the people involved. You're awesome, as are your costume builds, don't take the negative to heart, there's plenty of us out here supporting what you do. Love and light to you.
D&D is really dependent on the DM. If you played with a lame DM, you don't get the game. If you play with a great DM, it's wonderfully entertaining. I played when the first books came out, and it was a blast! it's like you and your friends writing your own book.
