MOSI's new butterfly exhibit in Tampa

The Museum of Science and Industry just unveiled its newest exhibit. FOX 13 photojournalist Mike Hughes shows us how you are able to live through the lifecycle of a butterfly.

I remember being at MOSI when I was still in junior high, and they had this woman doing "experiments" in a lab coat and interacting with the kids asking them questions. She had a beaker full of liquid nitrogen and asked how many balloons did people think that she could fit into it. There were a lot of 0's and 1's and 4's, I shouted out 10, having done this experiment myself before knowing that she could probably put in a whole bag of balloons, and she looked at me and said, "I'm putting them in here inflated not deflated", I replied with, "I know." She then starts putting in 5 then 6, all the way up to 9 before stating, "I could keep putting these in here for a long time", then stops. I yell out, "Put in one more and show I was right." She glared at me and just went on to the next thing. Teachers don't like smart kids. It makes them feel inferior, and I suffered through that all through school because I was learning more on my own outside of school, than I was being forced to attend school.
