Our country needs this truck OshKosh FMTV 6x6. We need more of this truck as our country is in the armed forces modernization program. Yes, our Philippine armed forces need this military truck to service our country.
Wheel guards have already been around since CTIS came on the M923A2's and so on...The A2 debuted in 1987.The second series of trucks starting in 1993 to use CTIS was the M35A3's to the M109A4's. The FMTV's weren't the first trucks to use it...Plus the CTIS is junk, just like these are.
You May be able to connect to the emergency air, but the trucks parking brake would need to be released in order to use it. You would have to either have the wheels blocked or have someone hold the brake while you operated the tools if you could even get enough cfm to make the tool operate properly.
@@brvfd822 I have been using a 1992 Ford L8000 from the USAF to operate a air powered needle gun to file off paint from a 1926 Southern Pacific observation passenger car.The truck has been parked next to it for over a week already because I'm there almost every day.The parking brake is always on and every time I start the truck all I do is allow air pressure to build up (Usually between 90 PSI and 120 PSI).I drain my air tanks almost all the time after usage, that's what you're suppose to do in the military at that,to avoid moisture build up,normally I release 30 PSI to 60 PSI.The air hose is connected to the outlet on the air tanks underneath the cab behind it.I use the driver side but obviously there is another tank on the passenger side, but the fitment is kind of blocked because of the exhaust manifold being there.Noone has to be in the truck...No wheel chucks...Parking brake is actually turned on,all I do is make sure it doesn't get below 60 PSI or the needle gun works half ass and then that buzzer alarm in the truck rings away.
No de china vienen las partes que arman mexicanos en maquilas que envían los camiones a estados unidos para ponerles el nombre allá ajaja .si la industria militar más grande del mundo es china ..dejate de joder jajaja ..los chinos a estos los tienen en el bolsillo .
These trucks are only just as good until they break down or something goes wrong. The engine, transmission, transfer case, planetary axles, and air actuators are huge flaws with the LMTV/FMTV.The Caterpillar 3116-3126/C-7 alone is just a gutless 6.6L-7.2L.The engine, transmission, and integral transfer case are electrical issues non stop with them.
These trucks are more reliable than any commuter car you have ever owned. Air actuators are a flaw? Are you talking about the CTIS? Caterpillar products are plenty reliable and used to represent 40% of on road transportation until they pulled out due to tighter smog regulations. 3116 is 6.6 the other are 7.2 not amazing fuel economy but also not terrible. The 25 on the front is the current weight of the truck 25 tons. olive-drab.com/idphoto/id_photos_m1083.php it's heavier due to the LTAS (armored) cab.
@@aernan Nice try key board mechanic, when I said "air actuators",I'm talking about the ones that go to the T bolts from the axle. They always slip off and have to be put back on.Medium duty Caterpillars are shit, all of the 3116-3126/C-7 and even 1160-3208.Injector,injector cup, exhaust valve stud, head gasket, and electrical is all of their failures, the 3116 is mechanical how ever.Caterpillar such as their 3406-3412 & C-12 to C-18 are the only best they have. And I actually own a five ton truck junior,a M809 & M939 series are alot more solid than these trucks ever will be,this was the Army's mistake. And yet the Cummins in both trucks doesn't have as much torque as the 3126/C-7 does. And for your blathering statement,I have seen both beat up cars and the same Cummins in other big rigs with a shit ton more of mileage than these ever will get. Most guys will tell you to stay away from the M1078-M1088 when it comes to cost, durability, and reliability.I will always stick with my indestructible M923A2 & M813A1,I had a pair of M1078's myself, they have far more issues down the road than my old five ton trucks.
@@Slim_Slid Thanks for all the personal insults. I just don't get enough of those often enough. If the 923A2 were a superior truck they would have put it back into service. Both Cummins and Cat make excellent engines certainly superior what other militaries have in their vehicles. Engines like the OM series found in the wildly popular Unimogs. @@aernan So if they did, then why hasn't the military gone back with the CUCV or HMMWV with the 6.2L & 6.5L from Detroit? Now they have the Oshkosh JLTV which uses the Duramax as does the LSSV,which has numerous injector, nozzle, injector cup, tie, inverted hex head, fuel filter, and list goes on,issues with them. What is your ignorant excuse about that since you're a know it all? The M939's got bad reputation because idiots never got it down to drain the air tanks every single time after the truck was driven, then it would go into lock and crash, and then the driver died as a idiot. There was a simple reason why they have air dryers and self bleeding valves. The previous 5 ton trucks had air assisted hydraulic brakes, which were dual circuit. If you think you are a einstein,Caterpillar and Cummins do have their failures of engines, for Cummins, try the ISX that came out in 1988,they hardly could ever get 1,000,000 Miles in OTR compared to other trucks.I already mentioned Caterpillar.Try the C-7 as I just said, which is pure junk, they blow out more head gaskets than a 6.0L Powerstroke. Excelentes tomas ! Felicitaciones.

great truck. After seeing the Wheel Covers to protect your Tire System Air Lines. The wheel covers should be standard.

Este vídeo evidentemente es del ejército argentino, lo digo porque uno de los soldados se le vé con un fusil FAL.
