Hey guys, what a fab vlog, Olhao looks amazing, seriously thinking of having a holiday here next time we are in the Algarve, thanks for sharing this quality vlog ❤️👍
Just booked a 6 day stay to explore😏 How safe is it, how is the night life and lastly, how much does it cost to take the Ferry to the nearby beaches 🤔 what would be best way to go to some of the other beaches in the Algarve? Train, bus, Uber? Great video guys, looking forward to checking out the town and trying some of that great seafood. ✨
@@lt5550 hey! I can’t remember/struggling to find the exact prices for the boats to the islands, but I know it works out quite a bit cheaper for the scheduled ferry’s as apposed to the water taxis which I think are around 20 per person. Safety wise Portugal is a really safe country. I think it’s the 4th safest in the world and the GNR (police) are often seen around on the streets. However as it is with any tourist spot just be sure to not fall for scams or pickpocket type situations (although these are still pretty rare) most Portuguese people are lovely and welcoming of tourists. There is a train that runs the length of the algarve which you can use to take to other beaches and a train station is on the centre of Olhão however some stations, like the one in Quarteira are a few miles outside town so you will need to catch a taxi or Uber from the station to the sea front. You are looking around 6-10 euros for these but trains are quite cheap. I would recommend using either Bolt or Uber but in the summer they do sometimes struggle with demand. I hope that helps and enjoy the delicious food! 😁
@@TheSunnySaudadeProject The ferry prices vary depending on which Island you travel to, but for one way ticket for an adult, it is approximately €1.65-€1.85 per person.
Hi guys tank you very much for showing my Nation Olhão the way you did it's without any doubt the best in Algarve and more 😉 I lived in the United Kingdom for 26 years and I had the pleasure to take many people from so many different Nations and show them what I always said(me describing it or show photos or videos) it would never be the same like being there Olhão it's not only my Nation but my DNA I just subscribed to your channel and I will check all of it ok so from Poland Greetings to you and we wish you all the best safe journeys.👍👍
My family has just arrived back fro. Olhao a few days ago. Its all and more that the young couple said. Its one of the best places Ive seen. I cant wait to visit it again soon.
Hey guys! Thanks for sharing your experience! I know this filmed a few years ago, but do you have any recommendations for restaurants these days? In Olhão of course! or did you visit the islands? Cheers ❤
Great video guys yous got it spot on defo trying the squid rice to name a few dishes not try these. Well folks the last time I set foot in Olhao was 7 yrs ago the people are so dam friendly the local cuisine is to die for no British pub crub here like why go on holiday to eat the same food back home??? I stayed in two hotels for the week one was the Real Marina Hotel & Spa (stunning) & Hotel De Cidade Olhao (brilliant) Try Captain John boat trip to islands definitely the best by far, cycling in the nature reserve don't do the afternoon folks as I had booked with just me and the tour guide we ended up getting train back to Olhao way too hot lol best early in the morning live and learn on that one eh I met great ppl when I got lost on the first day as all the little streets look the same especially at night I came across a little pub and stayed well into the night let's say, and one of the locals even showed me how to get back to my hotel👍 this ended up being my local for the rest of the week and no I don't speak Portuguese but we communicate some how as you do the bar owner and locals even asked if I wanted to go to the festival (August) near the end of my stay well I didn't hesitate there and it was a blinder of a night you don't get this on any hotel incursions etc.., never, I'm still in contact to this day by messenger and what they don't know is I'm going back on July after nearly 7yrs can't wait. Getting here from Faro Airport 15mins say and €50 return pre-booked car through hotel probably cheaper options? but hey we work our ass off We're going fuss-free style Enough of me rabbling on like an old woman here my last words on Olhao is you need to try this place out do something different from the norm😎👍
I visited for a day from Tavira last month and went back again the following Saturday for another look. I've booked an Airbnb there for 10 days next time. (Not impressed with your lunch though as I'm vegetarian 🤣)
The algarve is very dry it’s only 250 miles north of Morocco and the Sahara. It does mean that the weather is nice all year round though. This summer was very warm in the low 40s some days.
It used to be cool. Now that the municipality has completey ruined thew infrastructure, replacing it with parking lots and not giving a damn about sustainibility, Olhao is already doomed. And just so you know, you who make these videos and beat the drum for Olhao are partly responsible.

Where could I get a sim card in olhao 🤔 or should I purchase at Faro airport ✈️ Thanks.
Tbh I’m not quite sure as the new town is pretty big. I imagine faro airport is your best bet.
So little green space. No trees???😢 must be pretty toasty in summer

This is interesting and the kids are nice but I do wish she wouldn’t say “Beau’iful” instead of beautiful!
