Good ep today. However, I do have one question. There was a segment where you guys were going back and forth about the BET awards, and if it truly reflects black culture. I believe one of you made the claim that the ass shaking / dancing isn’t a true depiction of black culture. Does it bother you, or could understand how it could bother someone else, that one of the most prominent nights in black milestones in entertainment displays how other cultures / races tend to perceive (per the videos words) the African American community instead of truthfully displaying what black culture is?
That was the point there. Pointing out how BET may intentionally show one thing that may be detrimental to how the culture is seen. Hoping to discourage people from buying into “culture’s biggest night”.
