    I don’t know why most UK based riders would even think they want or need anything bigger than this. The whole country is basically a day ride. The roads are mostly slow. This is a perfect bike for it.

      The US state Oregon is the same size as the UK

    I traded my 2006 Triumph twin to this and as much as I loved that bike, I really haven't looked back. Clocked already 5000 kilometers in three months and enjoyed every second!

    Some people see it ugly, some people see it beautiful, and I see a good upgrade for my HNTR 350 ~

    I bought a Shotgun a few days ago. Its ergonomics are perfect for me. I'll pick it up next week and ride it home :)

    Hi can I ask how tall you are, I'm consider the shotgun 650 and at 6’4 wondering if it will be a good size for me. Thanks.

    Thanks for this review!
    Do you think it will fit with a pillion (and quite confortable)?
    Hard to find an A2 cruiser with this constraint 😅

      Thanks for the comment! Hard to say about pillion comfort, though it looks to be fine with the extra seat on there. You won't struggle with power, either!

      I'm 6'3 with long legs, and fit quite comfortably on it, so I'd say you should be fine. Thanks!

    Hi from Australia, I've owned a Super Meteor and found the seat painful on rides, in your opinion how does the Shotguns seat feel when compared to the Super Meteors.

    • @ManishSingh-ic7bu

      It's uncomfortable due to suspension not seat
      It's a big issue with super meteor not sure about shotgun

    I'd chrome the lot with a splash of red, blue or black - matt black suits nothing in my book.

    Is it too heavy for a new pass, A2 rider ??

    • @BikeMatters

      You'd soon get used to the weight, but just be extra steady when moving it around by hand - you'll be fine!

    • @AZQ891

      You’ll notice the weight taking it on and off centre stand, especially with full tank. Found the easiest way to take it off, just by sitting on bike at rocking it back and forwards. (With side stand down for safety). Their is a knack to putting it on centre stand, which you do get used to.

    Rear disk brake trigger ABS very quickly if you press brake hard because big size disk. this is only whai i didn't like in this bike.

    would this be a bad choice for a 1st ever motorcycle?

    • @BikeMatters

      As long as you're steady with the bike as you get to grips with it, this would make an ideal beginner's bike. Just be steady with the torque, it's surprising!

    120 miles per tank is NOT little to no fuel.

    • @BikeMatters

      Fair point, but it's not quite the consumption figure quoted by Enfield. I'd personally hope for more from a 650cc twin. But that's just me.

    • @skaraborgcraft

      @@BikeMatters Fair comment, it sounds worse than my 1991 Honda 650 Revere v-twin, if so, so much for injection and low emissions.

      How many miles are on your test bike? Sometimes the fuel economy improves as the engine wears in. I have a BMW R1200 that consistently gets over 50 miles per gallon. I would expect more from a lighter bike.

    Am I the only person who thinks the dual exhausts look stupid on this motorcycle? The bike is awesome, but those damn exhausts turn me off.

    • @donovandale7077

      I like the look of dual exhaust, but I'm not a fan of how these splay out at an angle. I'm hoping that the dual exhausts on the classic version of this bike run out straight with the body line.

    • @UltronX

      Ofc they look good but need to be properly aligned with the vehicle

    • @EveraldoBezerra

      I'm with you in this. In Brazil there are some guys that sell a unified dual > one exaust for the INT650, which looks awesome. When I buy my sg650, that's probably the first thing I'm going to change. These dual exausts also weight a lot.

    • @deanletter335

    • @Rayraysplums

      You need the super meteor

    • @donovandale7077

      I like the standard foot control position, they have forward controls on the super meteor version of this bike. Although, as forward controls go, they are pretty tame.

    • @EveraldoBezerra

      These types of bikes always have a bunch of accessories from third-parties, so yeah, probably at some point someone is gonna start selling forward controls.

      Super Meteor 650 would be the best bet - great bike, too.

    I've had the same stencil white Shotgun since April. Unless you are a die hard "arse up/hands down" rider, you really wouldnt want more from a bike on todays UK roads. More than enough power and better handling than it really should be. My only criticism is that the tank range could possibly be a tad better. I think the Super Meteor has a slightly larger tank. I did look at the Super Meteor but didnt really like the forward pegs.
