Creeper will function just fine without patches. Creeper's effect is so easy to get going that i forsee it popping up in aggro, midrange and control decks that have any interest in minions and even a select few that don't. Mage normally doesn't care about minions that much and i have seen creepers popping up in things like freeze mage. I very much believe it is the best neutral minion they have ever made. Better than Ragnaros, Better than Sylvanas, better than Undertaker pre-nerf, better than patches, better than piloted shredder.
Krul and the Skull is an oddity for sure. Krul is a good card, it's more the kazakus style of deck that i question in current format. Krul is like n'zoth with less setup. + it sets up for gul'dan + it and gul'dan can setup for n'zoth depending on what is pulled. You do have to run 1 less void lord and 1 less doomguard though. Kazakus can create demons, so there is that.
Main thing is, pirates were designed to be a sort of weapon gimmick architype. And it goes to show how good a pirate must be, to see play in decks that don't even run weapons. Patches basically guarantees a 3 pirate inclusion at least. Upwards of 5 pirates depending on the deck. It is my honest belief that blizzard kinda just decided to limit the nerfs so people don't mass disenchant for full value. If someone saved up like 10 patches, and patches got nerfed. That would be a good day for that player.
I kinda hate corridor creeper as a card. I kinda feel like if you are playing board wipes, ones that clear both sides. You should have to commit to your decision to trade away mana and possible board to clear the board your opponent worked to make. Corridor creeper more or less being a free minion after board clear or after trading makes it easily one of the best neutral minions in the game, for the reason stated above and because there really isn't a whole lot of decks you cannot put it in. It is more over-centralizing than patches is and it runs counter to how a lot of cards were balanced. If there was a card to nerf this expansion. It is this card.
