If this were a tape and somebody gave it to me and did not show on the tape who played it, I would have not known the difference. That means even Donnegan could not have played this better. Your skills match his! ROCK ON!!!!!!
I always feel that your tone has a ton of presence, lots of high end. Sometimes that’s good, but it doesn’t fit every song, like this one. That’s just personal preference, but I do notice that your tone is like that in every cover with the new amp.
I know exactly what you're saying. I notice it with this guitar the most because that El Diablo pickup runs so hot and it naturally has a ton of presence and high end. Not exactly a problem, but I understand it can be too much at times. My amps settings work with the EMG's though and that's what I set my amp to and I never really adjusted to compensate for passive pickups and I kinda just went with it. I'll have to tweak it after I get done with this album (I can't change it now otherwise my OCD will have a fit lol). A lot of presence and mids helps the guitar pop out in mixes too which is another reason why I crank those a little more. The last thing I want to be is one of those guys that hides behind the mix where you're hearing more of the backing track than the actual guitar playing. I can't stand that.
For sure, standing out is always important. The El Diablo a very nasty pickup indeed, I can see why that would happen. I wish I felt good enough about myself to release some covers though.
Believe has always been underappreciated. It's not only my favorite Disturbed album, it's one of my favorite albums of all-time. It was also the main inspiration for me to pick up a guitar in the first place so it has a special place for me.
@@MysticGuitar77 I can understand your reason. For me its the most formulaic type album which isn't bad but has one of the two or three songs of Disturbed that I don't like when comparing with the rest. "Rise"

They still pop up on ebay occasionally. Unfortunately they're usually way overpriced though.
