    I love that they didn't forget the Canticle in the background. One of the best parts.

      @williamdnetherton3722 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Canticle is very nice, but it's interesting to me that S & G don't include it in the Central Park concert; it's just Art and Paul singing the main song. Now, in fact, I prefer the song without the Canticle.

    Wait, this is the version that taught me the song Scarborough Fair in the first place! My parents used to play this in the car on our way to holidays, and I've never been able to find it again! The train station hymn video brought me to this and I immediatly felt like I recognised it!!!
    I've never found a better version of Scarborough Fair, and I'm so glad I finally found it, thank you so much for making this beautiful (to me nostalgic) version..

    Definitely my favourite version of this song. Only criticism: I know this is based on Simon & Garfunkel, but if they really want to hit the spot for authenticity, it's pronounced "Scar-burr-uhh", not "Scar-boro" which is an American mispronunciation. :P

    As I am sure Arstithir are accustomed to correcting people's bad Icelandic pronunciation, I feel I have to point out that "Scarborough" is pronounced Skar-burr-uhh, not Skar-boro, which is an American mispronunciation they've clearly picked up from Simon & Garfunkel. Great performance though.

    are these guys "christian" or "religious"? or do they just have an appreciation for hymns and old religious tunes

    • @Totto87
      @Totto87 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hopefully the last. Old hymns (and some new as well) have fantastic melodies and vocal setups and the art to fully encompass that genre in skill and passion I find amazing. Even without believing in any deity, I still get goosebumps and find it fully understandable how the masses would get religious just by listening to well-trained choirs of monks and nuns singing these in the big and daunting cathedrals of old.
