What I have gathered from watching the "Girls" MV a few times is that aespa has tracked down the Black Mamba's lair, or the space within Kwangya where Black Mamba has taken up residency or is hiding, and they are working to take Black Mamba down. We see the Black Mamba monitoring the girls' movements on security cameras as aespa searches the Black Mamba's hideout within the digital world. And we also see naevis watching everything happening from I think Kwaga where she said in their "aespa 'ep. 2 Next Level -- SM Culture Universe" video she would be watching them and sending assistance when she could, etc. We know the black silhouette is the Black Mamba hacker because we see she is wearing the same spiky crown, that kind of looks like a crown of thorns, as what we see her wearing when we see her take human form in their "Black Mamba" MV. I can't stress enough, that in order to understand aespa's MVs you have to connect everything you see and hear within all of their MVs. Each MV or video is like the next chapter in aespa's story. Also to understand their story you need to really pay attention to every word in their lyrics and try to understand what they are saying. Every word of their songs is like a roadmap explaining what is happening in their storyline and what they are showing us in the MV. It's like watching a movie that is based on a novel, their MVs illustrate what the lyrics of their songs are talking about. naevis -- the animated character with the short blue hair we see in the MV -- is the creator and designer of the Kwangya world, kind of like the site administrator, and aespa trust naevis to protect them from all the bad things and protect the virtual world, etc. (MY is the name of aespa's fans, which could possibly mean that their fans are naevis because the fans are the ones who protect aespa and defend them from the evils of society, etc. The "Real MY World" is where we fans reside.) We've seen naevis in almost all of aespa's MVs and videos. She's a main character in everything they do. I think she is supposed to embody the power of aespa's fans. I see her as the avatar that represents all of MY. At one point we see a jump drive with the word aespa on it and I think this is one of the girls finding Black Mamba's command center and downloading a virus or program to stop the Black Mamba from being able to control things. And, although, at the end it looks as if maybe the Black Mamba has been defeated and disappears, I have a feeling that aespa has only managed to put up a roadblock and temporarily stop the Black Mamba, but once the Black Mamba regroups and figures out how to get around whatever aespa did, the hacker will be back. Or maybe that was just the Black Mamba running away, etc. (You will see what happens next when you watch "aespa ep.3 'Girls (Don’t you know I’m a Savage?)' - SM Culture Universe" video.) aespa couldn't have defeated the Black Mamba so quickly, at this point they had only been at it for 2 years, and I wouldn't think, if we take into consideration SM's history, that the company would be ready to close this chapter of the storyline just yet. Plus, as with most superhero and fantasy type movies and stories, there is always a twist where when you think the villain has been defeated, something happens and they figure out a way to reappear or they take a new form, etc. Because the "Black Mamba" is a hacker, that means that they can't be stopped easily and they will probably come back in new form. To help you start to understand aespa better as a group and to explain a little more about what is happening in their MVs, you should watch aespa's "aespa 'ep1. Black Mamba' - SM Culture Universe" video that was released right before their MV for "Next Level" was released, then their "aespa 'ep. 2 Next Level -- SM Culture Universe" video that was released before their "Illusion'" lyric video -- which is also part of their storyline -- and "Life's Too Short" MV and then their "aespa ep.3 'Girls (Don’t you know I’m a Savage?)' - SM Culture Universe" video, which was released right before their "Welcome To MY World" MV. It's the first, second and third episodes of season 1 of aespa's drama and it explains in more detail about aespa's storyline. In order to understand aespa's storyline you really need to watch their MVs and content in order of when they were released. Unlike EXO's story, which isn't in chronological order, aespa's story is pretty much revealed in order from the first piece of content to the last, so it needs to be watched in a specific order. The order it should be viewed in is: their "Black Mamba" MV, then their "Next Level" MV, and then their "aespa ep.1 'Black Mamba' - SM Culture Universe" video, then their "Savage" MV, then "aespa ep. 2 'Next Level' - SM Culture Universe" video, then their "Illusion" lyric video, their "Life's Too Short" MV, then their "Girls" MV, then their "aespa ep.3 'Girls (Don’t you know I’m a Savage?)' - SM Culture Universe" video, "Welcome to MY World MV and finally their "I'm Unhappy" track video. By watching all these videos in this order, you will see the group's story unfold in the order in which SM intended.
Winter's weapon is called The Armament. It can turn into any weapon that she needs at that time. Winter is also an armamenter, meaning she adapts to any combat scenario to the best of her ability. So, she could cut the heart of Black Mamba if she needed a specific weapon to do so.
Also apart from their lore heavy mvs, they also have songs that highlight their vocals even more. Check out 'Welcome to my world', 'Better Things', 'Life's too short', 'Dreams Come true' and 'Forever'
Hope you are feeling better Simon. There is a lot of terminology in aespa lore. Like others have suggested please watch their intro videos and 3 smcu episodes. The lore is quiet complex & it takes time to get used to the terminology.
@@alongfortheridereacts Yessss... after 4 songs (Black mamba, Savage, Next level and Girls), they finally defeated her. You really need to watch the backstory, it's very cinematic and cool (creepy bits warning!) and really give you insights on the entire lore! Please continue reacting to aespa, they are my next favourite group after TEN (nct/wayv).
Your Lennon confession makes me feel ancient, Simon - I was *12* . And if there's a villain, it's Korean "Netizens" who bullied Karina into splitting with her boyfriend Lee Jae-wook.
Black Mamaba was the digital vilain. She appeared as snake or dark queen. In this MV they really killed Black Mamba. In their next MVs, Black Mamba would never appear again.
