Don't think he gave up, he just decided to do other stuff instead and to revisit this challenge later. Would be kinda cool if this brought him back, add spice to this race.
Unless it's an incredible hard mod combination, the only shenanigans would be mob ganks, which are boring. DS2 bosses are pathetically slow and easy, specially after guys are already 10th degree black belts in Elden Ring.
You should definitely try Wing of Astel one day. Used it in my mage playthrough, basically my fav weapon in the whole game. Weapon art melted the Elden Beast down to 1/4 of hp before it could even move away the first time. Yet, the best thing about it is that it's heavy attack is also a ranged attack, shooting a projectile, which is amazing against all those little critters like dogs and hands and such. Range isn't far but it's infinite cast as it doesn't use FP.
I have gotta catch one of these live sometime. Been binging them here on TH-cam recently (as much as VODs multiple hours long can be "binged" at least)
Funner fact: that’s actually wrong. It does scale, just barely so little that you could easily not notice. Night Maidans Mist does 2 types of damage, the first is 17 damage per tick, this is actually a unique status effect, it’s just -17 to enemy hp, not affected by defense, negation, can’t be buffed by anything it’s always 17 damage per tick no matter what buffs you have active or stats of enemy. The other type of damage is 20% of sorcery scaling as physical damage. This IS affected by enemies physical defense and damage negation, and IS buffed by talismans, buffs etc.. that would boost a physical damage sorcery. Because 20% of sorcery scaling is always going to be a low number it gets decimated by flat defense, but if you get Sorcery Scaling high enough (say 448 on 99/99 PoD staff) it becomes 89 damage which still gets heavily reduced but fares much better than lower values. The 17 damage per tick ticks at a faster rate than 20% sorcery scaling ticks. So difference between 60 sorcery scaling (failed stats on a Staff) and 448 sorcery scaling (max possible) isn’t huge, but it’s definitely noticeable.
Chat probbaly already said but re: the gas fireplace, that's fine, the switch probably operates a solenoid switch which turns the valve. The always burning flame is the pilot light so when the gas starts flowing it will instantly light without needing to create a spark.
I am personally not a fan of solenoid valves as they make me nervous as to whether they have worked (as I've lived in several houses where the three way boiler valve has failed) but they're not exactly new and exciting technology, they've been in homes for decades.
Aggy I know this is old news now but I would rather tell you something you know than leave you in the dark if you don't. The pilot light is always on, the switch turns the gas on and off, when the gas is on the pilot light ignites it immediately. Incidents have occurred where the fireplaces explode however they are rare and generally happen because people did stupid things
I know this is a little late, but I'd 100% rather be smart and bald, than have hair and be dumb lol. Brain fog sucks. Can always get hair transplants if need be. Although, I suppose you probably wouldn't have long hair. Still, I don't like anything fucking with my brain. sounds bad. Who knows how permanent any damage is.
