Having said that, God forbid she gets too tired to knead bread dough as usual & has to use a Kitchen-Aid stand mixer, WE WILL SAY, God Bless you Gina, whatever keeps you healthy & happy we are okay with that. But unlike a bunch of young women & men in TH-cam Who are too lazy to work hard like Gina’s, nope, our Gina shows us EXACTLY how much hard work & LOVE ❤️ goes into her Italian cuisine. Nana Gina, will you adopt me? I recently found your cooking show and found it to be extraordinary, fun and educational. I have always loved Italian cooking and now I can make dishes that I never thought possible. My mother passed away at an early age and I did not have the benefit of learning how to cook from her. Thank You.
Buona Pasqua, signora Petitti! I made this cheesecake for the holiday, as I do every year, but this year I felt I had *two* Italian grandmas "in" the kitchen with me: the memory of my own nonna and thoughts of you, my adopted internet grandma. 😉Maybe I imagined it but I think this year's cake was the most delicious one ever! I'm giving you the credit. (And this year, instead of having to write out the recipe for those who wanted it, I was happy to send a link to your video and instructions to "Just follow along with Grandma Gina!")😘😘
With Gina cooking looks so easy and simple! I 💕 what she is showing to us! Even if she would not say a word everybody could understand what to do and that is why Gina is a Master Chef for me!!! Lots of 💕🤗

I just love to watch you cook. You make me smile. I’m married to a first generation Italian from a small town in Campana. My mother in law is an amazing cook but is difficult to get her to teach us her recipes. She cooks many of the same things you do but your instructions are clear and easy to follow. Thank you ,too, to the person who is helping video. What a awesome gift to document your recipes so they will not be lost. Do you have a good recipe for pork roast with carrots and potatoes?
I love your cooking videos! You are so beautiful to watch. I am glad my Mother taught me many of these authentic Italian dishes that you cook. I made this “ricotta “ cake every Easter with the Italian meat pies and anisette cookies. God bless you💞
Nonna Gina Amo tutti i tuoi video specialmente quando parli e le tue mani adorabili quando lavori e spieghi e come ci dici di tua madre e tuo padre dio ti benedica e ti mantengono felice sempre da un ragazzo mama abbracci e baci
Hi Gina❣ My Grandmother made this and would always call me to help her. My favorite cake in the whole world!! My mom would make the cannoli. For dessert there was ALways demi tasse, with the little twist if lemon peel. My dad had the LONG neck bottle of liquor with branches in it, and wine in bottles with the long necks. Thank you, Gina and family for inviting us into your kitchen! ALL my memories come alive because of you, thank you from my heart❣
Gina! 🇮🇹🌹💕 It is 2:45a.m. I’m in my tiny Philadelphia kitchen making YOUR CHEESE CAKE. This house is where 70 years ago my own Grandmother came to live and cook for her 7 kids. All our Family -La Famiglia- came together to Eat every Sunday, Wednesday & Friday. My Nonna 👵, she never made Cheese Cake, because in Italy, they had no oven. They were just farmers and only had sweets at Christmas, Easter or very special holidays. This early morning I am watching your video and making your cake! Thanks to you, I am also remembering the beautiful times when my Grandparents were alive and our whole family lived in the same neighborhood. Back then we were all together. Now? Well now I bought my grandparents old home after they died and I come to stay a couple times a year. We will stay here for Thanksgiving and Christmas, when our family will also come together again. I am practicing many of your recipes here and Thanks to you, remembering our grandparents is so easy. You remind me of my grandmother so much! Being here with the memories and spirit of our Real Italian heritage is wonderful and so are YOU! Thank you and your family for helping us to keep our blessed heritage and our cuisine alive and our wonderful Italian 🇮🇹 Roots. I just hope, my Ricotta Cheese cake will be as delicious as I KNOW yours must be. God Bless you and your family at this Special, Holy Christmas Season. 😘
What beautiful memories, your grandparents are smiling down at you from heaven. Good luck with the cheese cake. have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas with your family. God Bless!
❤️❤️ Gina you are such a treasure to your family and to us all! You remind me so much of my own Grandmother and my Mother. Sadly, I lost them both many years ago, but what they taught me I now teach my family and friends. I’m not Italian, I came from a strong Eastern European Jewish family, but we share so many things in common, mostly that family and traditions are the most important thing, and just about everything revolves around some kind of food!😃 Love your videos and mostly love you, and I’d like to adopt you as my online Grandmother! ❤️
Hi Gina, I love watching you. You remind me of my family. My family is from Loseto, Italy in Bari. Your recipes and cooking remind me so much of the way my family cooks. You have made so many wonderful traditional recipes. It has been bringing back so many memories for me. Please continue making these wonderful dishes.
Thank you Gina , I misspelled your name in a another one of your videos. I spelled it like my sisters name Jeanna. Your smile and happy disposition makes us all happy. I will make this cheese cake for my family. I am 70 and still cooking a lot.
Thank you so much for your cheese cake recipe and all the information that you so generously give us, so many things I did not know about how to keep the cake from being uneven and to put in a dish not to make a mess and finally to cover until cold to keep moist and than put in the refrigerator. You are a marvellous teacher and you communicate your enthusiasm and give us the urge to not be afraid to try. Thank you so much Grandma Gina. I love you. Roseline, Québec
Thanks for sharing your families favorite Cheesecake recipe. I was imagining how it tastes as you took a bite. Thanks again for sharing your Italian recipes. This will be on my list of things to bake, along with the bread that you made in the other video. You put alot of love in your cooking for your family and I see that it brings you alot of joy. Thank you again.
Gina...this is my favorite kind of cheese cake. I am going to make this and probably eat the whole thing! Thank you again for wonderful authentic recipes!
Nonna Gina, in my family my mother's Aunt Fran would make this. We called it ricotta-cheese-pie, and instead of candied citron, Aunt Fran would break up chocolate into pieces about 1/2 cm and sprinkle maybe 1/4 cup of it into the filling before putting it into the pie-crust. Also, we didn't put any liqueur into it; we put the anisette in our espresso, not our pie. ^_^ As for the crust, sometimes my grandmother would make a graham-cracker crust, but Aunt Fran would always use a “pasta-frolla” pie-crust. As a little-boy, this was my *favorite* dessert at Thanksgiving and Christmas. [My mother's Aunt Lucy [my grandfather's eldest sister] would make the ricotta-and-wheat pie for Easter. But Aunt Fran did the ricotta-pie on other holidays.] Aunt Fran, my grandmother's big-sister, died suddenly when I was 14 or 15. And with that, the ricotta-cheese-pie disappeared. My grandmother would try and make one on occasion, but it was never like Aunt Fran's. Then I asked my grandmother for the recipe [and several other family recipes]. I then started making it and bringing it to holidays. One Thanksgiving, when I brought a ricotta cheese-pie, my mother turned to my grandmother and said, “Ma! You did it, you got the ricotta cheese-pie just like Aunt Fran's.” My grandmother then explained, “I didn't make that! Your son did!” And then, I did the Happy-Victory-Dance-of-Joy! ^_^ Of course, I never was able to duplicate it. My ricotta cheese cake always comes out a bit different each time. And, in the past 5-10 years, I stopped using 9-inch pie plates and started making it in a springform pan. I happen to like the way that comes out more than how it is when I use a pie-dish.
I love that this lady is still relevant to her family and is still valued for her life long learned skills and cooking for her family with love as the main ingredient. A treasure for us all.I would have loved to have a grandmother like her.

Mama Gina!!! Please make a cookbook and write down your favorite songs or memories along with the receta, you are a treasure!
That would be lovely! I would buy several copies to give as gifts
She is adorable! How blessed you are to have her teach you her recipes. This is priceless!
HEY, FOOD NETWORK, this is what a REAL cooking show looks like!
Gina sei bravissima mi piacciono tutti lek tue ricette ti guardo sempre grazie

Hi Gina, I love watching you. You remind me of my family. My family is from Loseto, Italy in Bari. Your recipes and cooking remind me so much of the way my family cooks. You have made so many wonderful traditional recipes. It has been bringing back so many memories for me. Please continue making these wonderful dishes.
Thank you Gina , I misspelled your name in a another one of your videos. I spelled it like my sisters name Jeanna. Your smile and happy disposition makes us all happy. I will make this cheese cake for my family. I am 70 and still cooking a lot.
Thanks grandma for showing us the delicious cheese cake like this.
God bless you.
I love watching you and I absolutely love your kitchen!
Of course, I never was able to duplicate it. My ricotta cheese cake always comes out a bit different each time. And, in the past 5-10 years, I stopped using 9-inch pie plates and started making it in a springform pan. I happen to like the way that comes out more than how it is when I use a pie-dish.
My mother used orange rind and vanilla for flavoring for those who don’t like anisette flavoring. Great recipe Gina. Just like mom’s!
That's how I make mine
I so love watching you cook. God bless you xoxo
