So sorry to have been away for awhile, summer chores & all that. Bonzer opening walking thru a tunnel (with the bright light at the end even), very ingenious. Would I love to visit The Vine, look at all the picnic tables! Just beautiful area & other bank hill landscaping, twas pleasure to walk with you this morn. The birds, folks, lawnmowers, such normalcy & fun. And what luck!!! A longboat arunning the water... I grew up amongst (& doing) sport salt/fresh fishing and water skiing, so I can "smell" the oily fishy canal. Rather homey walk for me. Wow the Jack (& his neighbors) looked more liken a trains, kudos to the captains' navigation abilities. I wonder how they turn them around. Joy joy, we witnessed a lock squeeze through, fascinating!! One man gates, aye, tis true, odd tho, that we're stronger pushing backwards. Me neighbors thought me strange pulling a wheelbarrow vs pushing, til they tried it when they thought I wasn't looking. Hey, watch him man, calm as you please ruddering without a scrape. Now that me mood be😁& me lungs full of fresh air, more tasking I can be about. Thanks, really, for asking me to come along.
Good to have you back onboard, That walk was so long ago, I had to watch it back again to remind myself what happened 😂Narrowboats are a thing over here. People live on them full time, and I did consider selling up and buying one some years ago. However after holidaying on one I decided against it. It's like living in a corridor, you have to declutter your life completely as there's not much storage space. They're great for a holiday but not for me as a lifestyle.
@@englishcountrywalks4613 Was awondering about what it was like inside, in fact, I was figuring you'd hafta be 3-4ft tall to not scrape your head or wear kneepads to crawl around; and yeah, I might feel claustrophobic especially knowing how would I get out ifn she sank. Have to admire the breed who does lives permanently in them. Whew! Ifn I rode one? It'd be on it's roof, rain or no. They are beautiful vehicles though and like said, what talent to navigate! See ya on next video.... eventually I'll catchup to the train's locomotive, maybe. ❤ya'll
Thank you so much for another great video I always enjoy watching your videos you always have something interesting to share and you always give us a great backstory also thank you so much my dear friend hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy and Debbie. It’s the best thing of all to have international channels and takes me traveling all around the world and tells me all about their areas thank you my dear friend

Lovely to see the locks operating. I wonder if the house boats pay rent to park there.
I think you are allowed 2 wks then you have to move on, however these boats do look like they have permanent spots🤔
