Every show will eventually end, just be glad we have hundreds of hours of content, plus clarksons farm is great as well. I've not watched James' travel show yet but I'd give Richard's a miss

I love how in the first clip Clarkson and Hamster don't even try to argue against the Merc. It's like they all know that James has in fact done this properly (as you would expect)
Well in the end Richard brought the best car since Oliver pretty much went through the journey (almost) perfectly

except hammond was the only one to make it all the way and didn't need to rip up his car to do it

The thing I appreciate is that, amidst all the comedy, there were always dozens of useful or historically relevant tidbits. The bit at 10:50 about fuel-injected models vs. carburetor was fun to learn, for example.
Another fun fact, the Rover V8 was originally a GM design that was sold to BRC in the 60s.

I always loved it whenever James would say “I’ve done this properly” because that usually meant that he was going to be the one with the biggest trouble.
Love how Jeremy doesn't even try to defend his Lexus against Richard's critiques at 37:25, but then immediately jumps to defend James's Aston at 37:40
LFA is a strange car - it just was in development too long and this killed it completely(
I never saw anyone appreciated it for its looks or performance or something else, except its story

I feel strongly about Jeremy's car with the cardboard to keep the bonnet from shorting out the battery. For lack of suitable spacers, my PC still has a bit of duck tape inside to keep the case from shorting out the mainboard.
My mate used a tyre repair to fix a puncture on his car, (the foam stuff) says to only use it for few miles and get a new tyre ASAP, I saw him years later and he said he was still driving it with the ducked wheel lol
I will never forget James’ Lambo on the tow truck for the 10000 pounds supercar challenge. And he just roasted the other cars. Brilliance.

This is why Top Gear was the most popular television programme in the world. Three guys, that had great chemistry and a genuine friendship. It wasn’t just about the cars. It was about the love of cars and the adventures could you have in them. I am pleased the guys are still doing the same sort of stuff, with Grand Tour. The biggest mistake BBC ever made and let’s face it, they have made some absolute clangers, was sacking Jeremy. The main reason I no longer have a TV that shows live programmes. I do not wish to support the BBC.
*at times* they had a genuine friendship. All three have talked about times when they had fallings out and did not consider each other friends but simply colleagues. They have all talked about times when they thought about quitting TG because they just hated each other (and yes, I use hated, not disliked). Tbh, you can see it when you watch episodes like these (challenge ones) as to whether they were in the middle of a fight.
JM quit smoking whilst on TG, but both RH and JM went through periods, both singularly and together, when they were pissed at JC's smoking addiction.

What I love about these meetups is that not only do their personalities show through their taste in cars, but also their natural camaraderie, but also their immense automotive knowledge, all in about 5 minutes.
I want to do whatver is necessary to keep these guys on board for the short future. I understand their getting older, but they provide me and countless others joy and chemistry that we won't see for a long time.
