This Game Jam was run as part of the Scratch Academy on the theme of "Just Too Much". The top 22 projects were shortlisted and featured in this video where I pick the competition winners! It was so hard as all the submissions were excellent - Well done everyone :D

How do I make a gravity script for a geometry dash knockoff? Currently when you change the gravity it just sticks to the ground.

Put a block which runs without screen refresh, then constantly make a variable, yspeed, change by -2.5 or so. Then make an if/else statement, and put if yspeed is less than zero, repeat until not touching ground, change y by 1 and set yspeed to 0. Else, change y by -1, set yspeed to 0. If you don't understand this, you can send the project link and I can help.

This video differs from the ones you usually make, and I actually really like it. Scratch is where I learned to code, but in recent years I've moved to using game editors like Unreal Engine and Unity because they have a lot more capabilities. However, I still have a soft spot for Scratch. These videos, tutorials, and now "Game Jams" do a really good job of inspiring people and teaching people how to code, especially when you add a sense of friendly competition when reviewing them. When looking at these projects, it even makes me want to get back in Scratch and start making stuff. Generally, I think that all of this is really cool.
