Have you thought about having a lot of fun with it until August, then sod cutting it out, and doing a complete renovation from scratch? I’m envisioning “the Ryan Knorr of Fife” Maybe the front in Barenbrug perennial Rye, and the back in Bluegrass? Or let’s go all in on the test patch and go sand

Yes I will def be doing more on the backyard as it's really thriving with barely doing anything to it lol As for Ironite depends on your conditions like in the early fall if i apply ironite and the grass is thriving and perfect ironite makes it dark in 3-5 days... spring i've noticed it can take a couple weeks for the plant to wake up and then get green. I know very vague answer but different times and temps really matter. I also noticed if I let it sit for 3-4 hours before I water it in it makes a big difference too 🤙🏾😊
Now you got me thinking 🤔 lol jk def nutsedge I have some patches of tall fescue i actually like the look of tall fescue it’s medium darkish green thick blades… was contemplating what the yard would look like with a turf type fescue 🤔😉🙏🏾🤙🏾 these are light light green in the back the same blades of this stuff is dying from the roundup nutsedge killer

I really want to do a full reno and just start from scratch with a turf type perennial rye for sure. We will see where this season leads us!

Are you sure its nutsedge? Could it be some kentucky31 or other course grass poking through from your lawn prior to renovation?
