Agree, you know what you are getting for $50 worth of skin than $50 worth gacha pulls. You really don't need whole roster of characters if you care about meta endgame(you can beat most gacha games if you sweat a little as f2p), or only care about one or two favorite characters or teams.
WuWa is a modern game, not a historical setting, I think ppl forget that, we literally talk to holographic projection, have trucks and self driving cars in WuWa
Funny thing btw: Wuwa is much more closer to a modern day, post apocalypse setting when compared to Genshin. Which is signified between the vehicles, the presence of an actual network and technology and even Televisions and advertisements played that Rinascita is currently showing off especially well. Which even Jinzhou/Huanglong was more of a rural like place but still had touches of urban structures in a number of spots, just more of a city adjacent to an active battlefield in a number of ways. This actually means Wuwa has FAR MORE SPACE to make basically any of its collab based outfits totally work, even semi-futuristic ones that look more like bodysuits such as what Lollo Logistics are running for thar couriers, which lean more into the kind of look you would probably see for those having to trek long distances for deliveries, compared to your typical isekai looking wanderer outfit in some medieval or feudal japan like setting. and with how the backstory of plenty of characters are, they could easily fit into mini-stories like doing side jobs for thar respective factions or maybe some promotional piece for an AD campaign that thar group is backing, since Blackshores is likely to have many fields they dabble in to acquire information and get accurate details to predict potential calamities, which likely includes checking out the economy and so on for various locales. Though i do not want Wuwa to be releasing a new outfit EVERY patch, i can imagine them to still release outfits way more often then Genshin has and as the Sanhua and Jinshi outfit has shown, they havent lost the edge from thar days on focusing solely on Punishing gray raven with how rather good the outfits pop off.
i think they might see how this batch of skins perform based on how many people actually use them/feedback etc to see if they should release it more often (if people enjoy them)

I really want to see skins that's around 15USD that are not as great as Jinhsi but are nice as well like casual clothing. Also I want to see Rover have a skin as well. Four years in Genshin and they STILL can't give the traveler a skin.

This Jinshi skin is literally just the Quality that they do for PGR skins. Different visual effects etc..... 4:27 i disagree here, that camellya skin likely would fit in really well. Also the point of a skin is pften to reimagine a character if you go by league pf legend's standard, riot has for a while been leading on that front. Nothing wrong with an out of theme skin so long as its not TOO egregious. I would love casual-clothing skins like that camellya one. They could make free skins like that, or cheaper ones that are just outfit changes.
i stopped spending on gacha games for years but WuWa made me do it again (jinhsi skin to be exact😅.. I mean its already guaranteed so..) i just thought its worth the money plus kuro never fails to surprise me, I love everything about it too
I think skins to a degree don't need to fit the setting. I always see talks about how to incorporate a skin into some kind of story or event. Go the League route, go ham on the designs because at the end of the day they aren't canon and don't effect the story. If you worry about immersion then just take the skin when doing MSQ.
Skins are great as long as its mostly designed to be casual wear or on theme for the story/events; it's best not used them as pure gooner bait such as bikini, race car model, and half naked maid/bunny suits(looking at you azur lane and brown dust 2). Gacha game already have bad reputation in general, I don't want to hide what is being seen on my screen in public. Like nikke for example, if you focus on the gameplay you hardly have time to see rear end of the character because you have to aim and time the burst skills; the story is great from the jump and builds up very nicely better than wuthering wave personally.
The thing I love about Wuthering waves is that they don't wait so long to release a skin cause Genshin takes long just to add skins but over all I play both and love them
