      @Marco..1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Probably because you do not have any endgame knowledge. (Or just not the knowledge you need for a Position).
      In endgames it is important to know some principle like the square of a pawn, opposition etc.
      If you do not know them than you only can calculate.
      And calculating without a plan is only something a computer can do.

  • @davidanderson_surrey_bc
    @davidanderson_surrey_bc 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Two very instructive points arise from Magnus's play in this game.
    1. As the difference between the queens and the other remaining pieces widens, it becomes ever more important to make effective positional queen moves, which is what Magnus did in first constraining Black's knight and then in weakening Black's pawns.
    2. In a King-and-pawns endgame, don't push your pawns until you need to. Case in point: White's f pawn, which stayed on f2 until Magnus needed to move it in order to retain opposition and tempo. That single move (f3) was all it took to ensure that Magnus was going to win the game.

    if at 8:46 knight moves to c7 and white captures with bishop, black queen will capture the bishop and white cannot capture black’s d5 pawn because if he does, black has check with his queen on d1 and can force a draw. I know you’re using stockfish to analyze but stockfish is not worried if black forces a draw unless white plays the undesirable pawn to g3, and magnus would not want a draw playing with the white pieces.

    It would be wonderful if you say which of the moves are best moves in the position and which are second and third if possible or just use the signs to indicate them.

    Not taking the black b-pawn and forcing the queens trade to transition into a simple won pawn endgame it is good tactics: eliminate the opponent's counterplay.
