Rode that and the first drop was nothing, it was when you were coming out of the first loop and it pushed you back against the seat while upside down that it got you lol
I've been on hundreds of coasters in my life, and this honestly has to be my favorite. Sitting on the back on that inverted loop is one of the most intense things you'll ever experience
This is what happened to me Its like your so hyped when your at the drive to seaworld and you see Manta in the distance, and its like you have this feeling like its gonna be the best ride of my life, you get measured, and your tall enough and you pass. Then the hype turns to regret and then your on the ride and you start going up i was like "oh my god oh my god!!" and then you drop, and you get off the ride saying: That was awesome.
This is one ride that i actively try and ride in the back because it kind of has a whip effect, but not in a bad way due to how your positioned. it sinks you waaaay into the seat and feels amazing lol
@@AJTheInvisibleGirl You ALWAYS do the front seat. The farthest back row is RIDICULOUSLY intense on that Pretzel Loop, dear Lord. 😂 The ride phyaically PUSHES you into the back of your seat and it's just WOW. 🔥
shawna0383 I will be going in October and my best friend wants me to go on. But I have seen so many things happen, and now recently heard about what hapened in Six Flags down in Texas. I'm so scared.
I remember I went on that ride last summer which was in 2017. I was 10 and it was THE SCARIEST ROLLER COASTER I EVER WENT ON and I went on the SHEIKRA IN BUSH GARDENS NOT SCREAMING!!!!
That drop is nothing, that loop after the drop is so insane you are pressed so hard againsed your seat its crazy. Never felt force like that in my life, very cool and fun ride though!
When the trains are in the station, the seats are down fairly similar to an inverted coaster, when everyone is in and ready to go, the a mechanism lifts the riders on their back and they remain that way for the duration of the ride ! :)
Probably my favorite roller coaster of all time. The way the seat “picks you up” instead of laying you down means all the inversions are like doing front flips instead of back flips and the sensation is amazing.
Had the privilege of riding this last year. Easily my favorite coaster. It is sooo smooth and you never get jerked around or anything. So amazing. Love it.
LOVE this roller coaster!! It's really not all at fast, but definitely one of the most fun I've ever been on. I absolutely love how they have you strapped in and then lay you on your belly right before the ride starts.
I'm 10 years old and I am obsessed with this ride, the 1st time I went on it was nighttime and I couldn't see what was ahead of me eo I just closed my eyes and felt the breeze and shouted "I love this ride" ;)
The coolest thing about this coaster is that very first loop. Youre completely upside down as you enter it and the sensation of the forces changing the way they press on you is incredible. You go from feeling them on your chest, to on your back, to sitting comfortably, and back to the feeling of flying. This is my favorite coaster of all time, I wish it were longer!
11Kittys In my opinion, the Cali Manta ride is no where near as awesome as Florida Manta. Cali Manta (yes, I have ridden it) is a rollercoaster where the passengers sit upright, it's not as long as Florida manta; it's just tame compared to Florida Manta.
This rollercoaster was more scarier than the Mako rollercoaster, probably because I was face down! And btw this was my first face down rollercoaster lol
this is my absolute FAVORITE RIDER EVER!! that feeling of the loops is so amazing and the soundtrack while going up is just perfect. ive ridden many MANY roller coasters. best ride ever for me. this is coming from a 13 year old but you can trust me
I remember going on this, and around 2:27 the ride suddenly stopped. We were stuck there on our stomachs for about 10 minutes, but none of us were panicking. We were all laughing, joking about it, and we were all super chill about it. I thought it was very cool because something like this doesn’t happen every day. The ride continued, and it was still a blast!
My friend went to Sea World and told me all about it. He said Kraken was, like, the best coaster ever but he told me that if I ever went there I'd have to skip Manta because he says it sucks ass. I do NOT believe him, and even if Manta does suck, I wanna see for myself. That's what being a roller coaster enthusiast is.
This Manta is amazing, however the only downside is that, as a flying coaster you need to be relaxed and not tense up your neck otherwise it will beat you up. Also I recommend looking down as it's a much better experience.
Andrew F So, basically, Is it better if I don't look up while riding it (If I ever get the chance of riding this (or even Tatsu/Air/Superman's))? Because I have a tendency of focusing my view on the coaster track most of the time on roller coasters. Is that a bad thing?
Leonardo Bruzzone Yeah it's better if you don't look up on this one, because of how the ride goes on the track and the maneuvers it does, and with the G-forces that it pull will most likely harm your neck. It's best just to look down and see the ground soar by.
That first pretzel loop when you're headfirst, on your back, is a feeling I will never forget. I rode this in 2010 and I can still describe the feeling. It's such strong G's but you also feel so weightless and pressured at the same time. I can't wait to ride Manta again, she really solidified my love of coasters
Omg that pretzel is the absolute best part! The drop is like nothing and then you get pressed against the back of the seat, upside down, head first, omg it feels so good and the inversions are so cool you feel so free almost like you forget you’re in a roller coaster ride car because you are on your chest
I just woke up and I had a pretty weird dream last night. I was at a random Sea World somewhere, and it had an indoor section. Inside there was Halloween stuff that was there year round, while the floor had water and sharks swimming around in it. There was also a red flying coaster with an awesome looking layout. Me being the easily scared one in my family, I basically closed my eyes the entire way through the entrance. I don't remember getting on the coaster, but I remember having extreme fun. Then, on the final minute of the coaster, I saw sparks going everywhere and a ear-splitting screeching sound. Going by the rules of dreams, I thought that the brakes on the train had broken or something (remember, this is a dream, they don't really make sense). So they did. I don't remember the ride stopping or the seats coming back down, but I remember that there were moving metal plates like there are on floorless coasters. The things didn't exactly completely come together yet, but the shoulder harnesses were already off (the train was without leg harnesses) and people were jumping onto the flat surface beneath the moving panels (I know it doesn't make sense, shut up). Me and a few others managed to make it onto the platform before the floors came in, but some people got their feet crushed. Now, I know some people will think that I need assurance that this would not happen in real life. However, I already know that. Looking back at my dream, I know that a lot of the stuff just couldn't happen in real life.
This was such a good footage and POV of the ride. I wish there could've been folks screaming In joy in the background on the Manta though, it's always so hilarious and It puts a gleeful smile on my face to see them enjoying this fast-moving ride! I'm sure they just placed a camera above the front seat to test this out. I remember as a child in the fifth grade we went to Sea World for our field trip after raising enough money and me and my classmates rode this and the Kraken. You almost DO feel like a Ray when you're flying on this!
My 8yr old's class is going on a field trip to SeaWorld April 5th. I'm so STOKED to get to ride this, even if I end up having to do it alone. This looks AWESOME!!!
see heres the thing about seaworld. universal has kinda made it's self as a high thrill and simulation destination with dueling dragons now know as dragon challenge, the hulk, rip ride rocket and the mummy. there is no lack. only when you compare it to busch gardens which is a different conversation but when seaworld makes a new ride its not that often, they mostly just re-theme areas maybe add a show here and there, but not much. but when it comes time to build a ride, they take their time, and it shows. i will choice universal any day just because thats where most of my friends work so i like to go and see them. but if i wake up one day and say i dont care about going on a lot of rides, i just want to go on one or two damn good rides, i'll go to seaworld. thats kinda how i feel about this ride
smart choice. a little insider tip. go to the guest service's right in front of each park and try to get a gap pass. its basicly a a fast pass but if you have any type of medical excuse, even ADD, they give it to you for free. you just go up to the line if the wait is over 30 minutes. they sign it and give you a return time and you can do all the rides in record time on a crazy busy day.
of course yes. i told the, i have add and i get restless in line and they gave me a gap pass. so for you yeah, they will will defiantly give it to you.
This ride is AWESOME!! Rode it twice within a matter of minutes after getting off from the first ride. And that your facing down all the time makes it just as awesome. When people say "Don't look down" With Manta you don't have much choice. I love it :)
I rode this yesterday for New Years and I loved it! I was so nervous at first because it was my first flying coaster! When we got off I loved it that I went again in night time! Those two times we got the front twice! I recommend it! So much fun!
I remember going on this coaster the week it opened in 2009. The 4 1/2 hour wait was totally worth it! Want to go back and ride in again and more than once!
+Brandy Wells If you're riding in the back, possibly. You go by the fountains pretty quickly, so if you put your hand out to the fountain, you can get wet.
Tatsu having the Pretzel loop at the end makes it better. Save the best for last. It's also taller, faster, longer, and has over 250 feet of vertical distance since it uses the terrain at magic mountain
I like san diego rides better and what is with floridians and teasing california about our rides. We have a height restriction. Disney world wouldnt've even started without disneyland. Same with seaworld. ( p.s please correct me if im wrong ) and i think san antonio wins i mean come on they have great white and a beluga show
Anakin Plays walt disney always had planned to make disney world so thats wrong. great white shark show uhhh i dont think great whites can do tricks sir
Sorry Florida is better you are bias like come on have you seen this roller coaster it is amazing and please stop going on about Disneyland and Disney world they have nothing to do with this
This was the only reason I ever gave my money to sea world. Idk if anybody here has seen black fish but some of the people running that park are terrible and truly do not deserve to live on this earth. Please do some research if you don't know what I'm talking about.
not seen blackfish myself, but from what I've heard it's very bias. If you have a problem with whale enclosures there are lots worse places that whales are put in.
jackandylan123 "not seen blackfish myself, but from what I've heard..." can YOU be anymore bias?... And yes I'm sure there are, but does making one place worse really make the other better? No.... If I punch somebody in the face, and then say, "well that guy punched three people in the face." I still punched somebody in the face.
I know I'm a bit late but.. you shouldn't believe everything you see in a movie. Especially since some of the people involved with that movie were fired by the company. Do your own research before coming to a conclusion after watching an incredibly biased film.
L Micheal I am speaking off what modern day caretakers have said, and many MANY reviews of blackfish…also, remember the fact that not only did employees of SeaWorld do it purely for the money, with no truth in what they said…but fakes were hired to try and get things on Blackfish's side. I do not make uneducated comments on things, I make sure I know what I am talking about. and, may I add, your example made no sense and was totally irrelevant to the situation.
This coaster will forever hold a special place in my heart. It was the first I had ever ridden. It was in 2011 and I had just turned 13. My older sister decided that it was time that I got over my fear of them and said that I would likely enjoy it. I was nervous but agreed to go on it once. I got more nervous the further through the line I got. My dad, grandpa, and said sister were with me and they put me in an inside seat with dad on the outside and sister right next to me when we got on. I my nerves heightened the further up we went but liked the view at the top of the coaster. I screamed going down. However, a grin plastered itself on my face for the rest of the ride. Dad asked if I was ok when we got off. I said 'yes' while nodding my head a little bit. I think went rode a second time and then rode the Kracken. I smiled the rest of the night.
I never will forget how fun this ride was when I went on it back in 2014. Gives me such a great adrenaline rush and it's very similar to Superman Ultimate Flight at Six Flags Great America
THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST ROLLER COASTER AT SEA WORLD! Yes it is a little intimidating but it's worth it trust me! You feel so weightless and free like you're flying man! Have not road Mako but I heard it was awesome too!!
@TheStjohns100 Go for it! This was my first roller coaster as I was too scared to go on any, but having been on this and a lot of others this is by far the best!
This was my first rollercoaster and I loved it, yeah I was having a panic attack in the cue waiting but after I kept on going on rides and loved them... WORTH IT!
*going up and the first drop was fine*
*the first loop was pure torture*
Evade Aspect It has a lot of g-force and it can be uncomfortable for some. Some people like it and others don’t; just depends on who you ask.
Ya it was crazy 😦
Manta was for me when I first tried it I got scared as hell but when I got on it I was having real fun
can’t release, I CAN relate I am 6 and I went on it yesterday
Dude that loop is fucking awesome, that was so much fun to do.
Rode that and the first drop was nothing, it was when you were coming out of the first loop and it pushed you back against the seat while upside down that it got you lol
+blissfullycat02 yep exactly
I'm the opposite. I'm afraid of heights I HATED the coaster till the loop, then I loved it.
blissfullycat02 ikr
blissfullycat02 YES! I hate that part!
Yeah it's that pretzel Loop at the bottom after the first one exactly what you said you hit it on the nose
I was at sea world today for a field trip and all my friends persuaded me to go on this..... I have never screamed so loud in my life
And i have a fear of roller coasters.... I may not now cuz this was AWESOME
I know who you were.... Were you with blue or pink shirts?
Lol
Im going to sea world today and Im gonna go on Manta
+Lps Forever T.v. i want today too lol
I've been on hundreds of coasters in my life, and this honestly has to be my favorite.
Sitting on the back on that inverted loop is one of the most intense things you'll ever experience
True it is pretty intense
You’d shit your pants at Magic Mountain then lol
Inverted loop was intense
Superman at Six Flags over GA does the same thing
@@tylerlovett6242 I just went to magic mountain for the first time and imo manta is better then tatsu.
Anyone else has that feel of regret when you're going up the first hill?
Yes
Me..and while strapping on and the rides about to start 😥
Yes, This ride sucks.
Yep, especially when this ride started to face the ground. But the it ended up awesome.

😂
It`s because the loop goes outwards and you feel like you are certainly going to fall somewhere because it seems like you are in free fall
Same 😂😂😂
I love seeing ppl happy it makes me happy too :D
It's been seven years already since this came out?! Man, time really flies.
So does manta
Six years,
+Raven Skymaven Actually, in the beginning it states that it opened in 2009 meaning that it has been seven years since the coaster release.
ahahaha, I see what you did there, time flies, its a flying coaster
Star Lord Haha, someone finally got it!
3:19 "Oh my gawd that was cold"
This coaster kicks Supermans ass. Pretzel loop and 3 barrel roles. Looks so fun
Alexa Cho that's the technical term. Even B&M calls it a pretzel loop.
Six flags made the superman clones, of corse it's gonna be worse
If you think that pretzel loop is intense, wait until you ride Tatsu at Magic Mountain.
Exactly..Tatsu is a wild ride...It's taller and faster, but I do like the theme on this ride.
Renee Lewis not to mention the scenery on tatsu. Beautiful especially at sunset
FanThemePark Manta is an a lot smoother ride
FanThemePark omg that’s so freaking true
I just rode tatsu and imo manta is much more powerful, on tatsu the loop is further into the ride on manta you have the full speed of the drop
My exact thought on this:
"Huh, that actually looks like funNNEVVERMIND! NEEEEVVVVERRRRMIIINNND!"

proud to say this was my first roller coaster, and it. was. awesome!

ikr? Why does Florida get the cool rides and Cali gets the lame and tamed rides??
I don't know really :P I heard that they have height restrictions in Cali so i think that's the reason Manta sucks over there

I loved this ride I went on it 7 times and your hanging you also go in a cave I just got back from Florida last week
I live in Florida and I never knew this ride existed ;^;
went on this yesterday this rollercoaster is crazyy i loved it!!btw sit on ends they are better then the middle :P
Ride this one in the very back row. Trust me on this.

Your camera is so nice! Good Job! I went on this, those seats are very different from the other roller coasters of Orlando.
Greetings from Brazil!
You know you came here to check out what the ride looks like after watching *"How to Find Your Lost Phone"* on *Good Mythical Morning*.

B&M make the best rollercoasters
i agree
Intamin ?
Those are good too, I especially love Millennium force, but overall, I like B&M better.
But ... Kingda ka ? Intimidator 305 ( black out machine )
Biggest does not equal best. That ride is over too quickly.
That first reverse loop has so much g-force, you can feel the pressure in you're chest. very exhilarating ride.
i love this ride i rode it in a storm it was cool
This is one of my favorite coasters
I went on this
Then i watched people go and thought
*unfortunate souls*
i love this coaster its the best one ive been on yet!
1:52 the left joint for service panels is extremely weak....
Oh yay I went on this before it was so fun
I can't believe I was scared of this. I didn't ride and I totally regret it :(

Noups!

better than tatsu...

Tatsu having the Pretzel loop at the end makes it better. Save the best for last. It's also taller, faster, longer, and has over 250 feet of vertical distance since it uses the terrain at magic mountain
Feels so good to be in that position soaring like that
also a great sunset view from up there.
Water feels good on a hot day
I miss it
I like san diego rides better and what is with floridians and teasing california about our rides. We have a height restriction. Disney world wouldnt've even started without disneyland. Same with seaworld. ( p.s please correct me if im wrong ) and i think san antonio wins i mean come on they have great white and a beluga show
Anakin Plays walt disney always had planned to make disney world so thats wrong. great white shark show uhhh i dont think great whites can do tricks sir
san antonio has a roller coaster called Great White
Sorry Florida is better you are bias like come on have you seen this roller coaster it is amazing and please stop going on about Disneyland and Disney world they have nothing to do with this
Seaworld Parks & Entertainments start first with Busch Gardens, which was a brewery and gardens, in Tampa, Florida.
Orlando is better nigga
God I love this ride the loop is amazing because of the quick fast motions.
oh shit! imma have to ride this rollarcoster because im going to a field trip to seaworld in 5th grade :0
5th graders shouldn't be saying swears
+Rat Awwww...
+Rat Bloons TD IS AWESOME!! And so are rats. They are so darn cute.
I went to seaworld in third grade and they didn't let us ride anything!!! not even the kiddie place
pastellicx ! Lol i have a field trip to seaworld in 2 days
Love this coaster! That first inversion is awesome, especially on the back row.
I do not make uneducated comments on things, I make sure I know what I am talking about.
and, may I add, your example made no sense and was totally irrelevant to the situation.
c0linx most of those trainers never worked with the whales or go fired
Seaworld .., the worst place ever for animals
Lol they have saved many animals in seaworld
LOL-Lit
Are you aware they have rescued over 27,000 animals?
Hey, this was the first roller coaster I've ever been on and I LOVE it
This was my first roller coaster i was so nervous at first BUT IT WAS AWESOME!!
I never will forget how fun this ride was when I went on it back in 2014. Gives me such a great adrenaline rush and it's very similar to Superman Ultimate Flight at Six Flags Great America
I went there 10 Years Ago, and it was my first roller coaster ride with loops ever!
THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST ROLLER COASTER AT SEA WORLD! Yes it is a little intimidating but it's worth it trust me! You feel so weightless and free like you're flying man! Have not road Mako but I heard it was awesome too!!
