if a combat knife, which is specially made for killing, doesn't go through the vest, imagine a piece of floor lol
Bro it's just a knife with a special shape and design that makes a "combat knife" but it's just knife that's meant mostly to cut not kill but you could use it for that.
@@TastyYogurt22 you have a point but it has a flaw. Combat knife is specially made with intention to hurt (to cut) and kill* otherwise there would be no difference between a kitchen knife and combat knife but yeah both can kill a human but again, combat knife is "only" made for combat.
@@manticore8204 ''Combat'' knives are made for utilitarian tasks mostly. Tools specifically DESIGNED only to kill would be daggers and older bayonets.

Why not just give the prison guards full plate mails and long swords.
because they are heavier
Because then they're obligated to say "Stop! You violated the law!"
I love that the only reason they don't is because it's heavy. Chainmail is better in alot of other ways, better airflow for example
Long sword is not really useful in close area, you must take a warhammer

I don’t doubt their integrity at all, but it would be a bit better if they used the weapons on something that would show the damage before they hit the armor
I guess they can use dummy jelly humans to asses the damage from the weapon on hand.
Yeah that’s what I was thinking, or at least a chunk of 4x4 or something for the shanks and blades
They for sure have done lots of testing before using a real human for presentation to the mass audience.

Is it just me if I was the prisoner/attacker then I would just go for the liver/ gut area which is really exposed for the armor.
Or under the arms/inner armpit, which is completely unprotected and also an area that has a lot of major blood vessels. Some where you really don't want to be stabbed.
It's a cell extraction vest, so you're probably gonna get smashed into the wall with a shield and put into a armlock long before you could do that.
Everyone with the 'I'd go for the head ' comments don't seem to think of the fact that anyone wearing this would also be wearing a helmet.
Thank you. I wanted to pull my hair out reading those comments.

yes but thats hard and youre more likely to get stopped
So when you come across a swat officer with full riot gear, which includes a helmet, you would attempt to stab what, his hands and feet? lmao.
@@Hanson032 well actually as you can see in this armor upper legs aren't included and if you got stabbed there in the artery it's very easy to bleed out
⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ Yeah except in a prison riot environment where you have split seconds to react, a prisoner wouldn’t aim for an officers arms or legs. They would immediately go for the biggest and most vital spot, which is the body, whether there is riot gear or not. The original commenter made the assumption that he would be smarter than most criminals because he knows from this youtube video how effective the vests are, but in a real life scenario that just wouldn’t happen.

Hi, great product demo, I do wonder what your dynamic mobility in this armour is. Such a tornado prison team would require a high degree of mobility in a confined space. Be good to see that type of demonstration

what about protecting the forearms and hands? are the shoulders stab proof?
Juggernaut armor that was used in the mission “no Russians” in cod
After this video this CEO was lost due to being hit by a brick and a machete from the prisoner with black gloves
you should send it to demo ranch, and let him rip through it. its not a matter of if but when with him, but like still.
as someone who has spent several years incarcerated, i can assure you no ability is more important than mobility when youre trying to extract a person from a cell. we would spread shampoo on the floor, making the turtle squad slip & fall due to their bulky suits & boots. stab proof is important, but you REALLY wanna have as much mobility as possible with stab resistance on.
Use a fucking CHAINMAIL IDIOT (or brigandine Its mobile af and Its full of steel plates)
that would be even better with lvl4 armor
I think level IV ceramic is a little outside the scope of prison guards LOL but yeah that would be sick in a military or riot variant since those are applications with rifle threats
Leg Meta becoming areal thing eh?
definitely gives me ICCTV tactical vest vibes from payday 👀‼️
More CTV because it doesnt include shin armour
What about just below the shoulder and under the armpit? Left side that would be lethal if it goes deep enough right?

Now imagine this made with anti flames fabric and a flamethrower
What about the sides ? And back ? Sides is the most vulnerable!
Ok now this looks good.
London fashionwear is looking quite dope
Are you sure you had prison cell extraction in mind when designing this or just wanted to do some awesome stuff?
This guy loves prison
I'm glad they created this kind of armor, but why did they only test the shoulders with bricks and never test anything on the neck?
Cause that's awfully close to the unarmored part
if i ever go to prison ill get one of those
They can hit the guard on the head, not the body if they see the guard wearing this massive armor
This will be standard issue wear for those in New York city just going to work, riding the subway, etc. Where can people get one or a similar one?
Anyone that knows anything about edged weapon fighting is going to go immediately for those wide open armpits
they still need to be reached. the security officer will not stand in the t-pose, and most likely he knows where his vulnerabilities are. this is not taking into account that he does not go out to fight, but goes out to suppress, in a group, with shields and special equipment. most of the attacks will be random and spontaneous, and again, the officer himself is not a dummy, he analyzes the situation and the environment.
of course, there are weaknesses everywhere, but this does not mean that, let's say, dynamic protection should be removed from tanks if, under certain conditions, they can be disabled simply by damage to optoelectronic complexes or other important elements with some kind of non-anti-tank weapon
Really cool how you got Jake Gyllenhaal to assist you in this demonstration.
Algorithm got us together once again 😌
bro, is this real Giantdad armor?
Can I wear this at work?
This would be excellent if you're trying to survive a bear attack, specifically if you play dead, as they apparently play with your body to see if you're really dead by biting and scratching you with it's teeth and claws. Awesome!
i don't like doing other people jobs for them.... What happens when they stab them threw the armpit?
That's why you train around your armor.
Knights in the late medieval period could only be wounded by heavy weapons such as Lance's or crossbows. When combatting other knights with shorter weapons such as swords or maces, the most effective approach was to grapple the opponent to the ground after breaking their defense, and pry the armor sections apart in order to stab the man underneath with a dagger.
All armor has gaps, that's why trained combatants are taught how to wear it; to minimize "what if" type problems.
This is why you aim for joints, hands, and the face or head... I promise the concussive blow from a full force strike to the back of your noggin isn't going to end up well even with a helmet, or if a blade happens to slip into your armpit or back of your knee... lots of things can go wrong.
Cool now make it heavier and put an exoskeleton under it
I am sure that a prisoner will attack your body not your head or arms lol
OK, so, question. Why is it called Cell Extraction vest?
Very good.
He's just like "yeah lemme just stab you with this boss"
I wasint even born yet when this video came out
Reminder it's not the vest. It's the plate
