"A good caliber to practice on" the man says; a 14ct gold Longines from the late '40s and it's a good practice watch. Man, I'd love to live in the universe you live in! 😀
@@HorologyBiology I've been meaning to comment, I visited your lovely country 6 weeks ago. My wife contracts for a Dutch IT services company and it was6monthly get-together, so I tagged along for the ride. The hotel was out in the new part of Amsterdam so of course we went to Central 3 times and The Hague once. Really impressed with everything. Except the food. Man, you guys need to get more flavour in your food 😀
A mechanical watch/clock especially, represents the mechanism of the whole Universe. Each part plays a vital role; The wheels assume planets and the source of Energy for the Universe is from the Almighty!
Wow I just found out about you and I must say that I already love this video and how you service/repair the watches. Totally deserved like and, obviously, new subscriber too. Hope you reach the thousand subscribers soon!
nice work, nice watch. I do not agree with the choice for the glass, would have preferred a slightly lower one, but in the end beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Cheers!
Many thanks for the comment, you have a great channel by the way, I follow on my personal account 👍🏻 I hear you on the glass, a low dome might have been more appropriate, I just liked the depth it gave it on a smaller piece
@@HorologyBiology thanks for the comment on my channel, really appreciated. I am not a professional youtuber, as you might have noticed :D and it's been a long time I posted a video. Plan to do it every 2-3 months, but life gets in the way... Cheers!
You need better calipers. Get some that measure 1/100 or more with metal claws. I had the same problem measuring for crystals with that exact same caliper you are using here. No problems with the new more accurate calipers since.
Really enjoyable video. Loved your narration and music choice. I don't know how to navigate to the community channel, please forgive my question posted here. I reside in Australia and would like to know how to source parts such as crystals etc, hope you can help in the ANA presentation.
Many thanks :) I have zero affiliation (in the true sense of the word) to the original Enicar company, I have been a collector of this very niche brand for many years and just happen to know quite a bit about it.

Yep, I also found it on a beach, bought an identical new one on Amazon and filmed it in reverse 🙄
