Thanks Dave. Your tips have improved my game massively. Couldn't hit anything before hand. Joined a darts league and checked out 3 legs last week for my team.

    Hi from Montreal, Quebec, Canada
    Great lesson, D.D.
Standing center and on both feet on the floor has made it more constant in my throws. The hardest part of the throw is keeping the upper arm stable for better accuracy.
I started playing in November, and with your videos, I've improved my game greatly. That's not too bad for a seventy year old..lol
    Keep up these great videos.

Have a question regarding this method for shorter than average players. I'm 5 foot 5 and have always felt the need to throw up at the board. I played for my local pub team in my late teens, early twenties. I was an average player, sometimes really good, sometimes really bad. I have always been inconsistent. Have only played on and off since my pub team days and have recently got back into the darts at the age of 56. I decided to try and get myself a more consistent throw and came across this channel. I really like the concept and have started to practice the Dynamite Dave way. The issue i'm finding, being shorter than average , is with the elbow position. I feel i have to have it higher than the recommended horizontal to the floor position . Holding it higher seems to introduce too much tension . Any tips from other shorter players and yourself Dave would be appreciated.

Hi Paul hope your well im just the 1" taller than you so yes the DD way works just fine for us short lads its all in the adjusting of the body position that make it easy to hit the D top buddy watch this one if you need to just increase the arm speed very slightly to if needed till you settle into it. Watch this video will help. th-cam.com/video/8MJqLFbYECg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wbw9SWRcDoOOZlLw

@@DynamiteDaveLlewellyn Hi Dave. Thanks for the reply . I'm working it out gradually. It's amazing how hard it is to not fall back to what you have done your whole life. But i am already seeing big improvements in my grouping. If only i can get the first dart where i want.

    • @DynamiteDaveLlewellyn
      @DynamiteDaveLlewellyn  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@paulmcintyre9918 The answer to that is don't first dart in second follows first third follows first. when grouping is tight round the bull then go 19s first adjust from the hips so your looking at the T19 exactly how you do the T 20 Bull Ect. Then same arm speed same follow-through same everything = same result takes some time but hell its worth it. Never forget i was diabolical before i started the DD way my three dart average was 20s poss. 30 on a good day. Then three years later and before my operation i was regularly hitting a ton average with my PB being 116.5 over 5 legs and 107.4 over 10 sets. O and bare in mind im nearly 60 years old so if i can do it you can buddy.

To have your forearm vertically inline with the bull most of us need to shift our bodies to the left or to the right of the oche (dependent on whether we are are left or right handed)
For us ALL to address the 'centre' of the oche as you advise doesn't make sense!
You say that standing to the left or right of the oche would mean to hit a double 6 or 11 would be at different distances. however, people with different length forearms, upper arms and shoulder alignment may need to stand to the left or right to achieve a true vertical forearm in-line with the centre of the board.
For instance, I personally have to stand toward the left of centre of the oche and lean slightly to the the right to achieve a vertical forearm in my 'right-handed' throw.
We are all different shapes and sizes and need to personally adapt to the shape and lengths we were born with. The 'DYNAMITE DAVE ' advice, is 'in this video' is not the best for most of us.
As long as your forearm is truly vertical and swinging straight down through the centre line of the dartboard, that is the correct stance for you personally. Either to the right, left or centre of the oche. It's simply down to whatever WORKS for you.

Look at all the other comments. You're in a tiny minority and you are a typical I know better than you, guy.
So if you think im talking bollocks then don't watch my videos they are no good to you. As I say, if you're comfortable and crap you stay comfortably crap... don't ever forget you know best buddy and the thousands of other commentor's are lying.

    • @racketbuddy

@@DynamiteDaveLlewellyn How did you possibly arrive at your following reply to my initial comment?... "So if you think im talking b******s then don't watch my videos they are no good to you" ?
Is that how you respond to subscribers who attempt to join in with your videos sharing their own personal experiences and points of view which could also go on to help others!
You then continue by inferring that I must be a 'comfortably crap player' if I don't agree with you. and then mention your 000's of other commenters that support you in an attempt to belittle my view as being just a tiny minority and state that I'm a typical 'know it all' and think I know better than you.
I'm stunned mate. I've been watching your videos for years and my game has benefited from a number of your dart playing insights.
Did your name DYNAMITE originate from a short fuse?
Keep on keeping on with your channel. There are thousands of dart players out there that will benefit from your advice.

Thanks for all the information Dave. Having a problem with recreating your throw however being much taller than yourself. Hinging over at the hips due to my mr tickle arms is causing me to get cramp in my front leg when I’m playing and when I wake up in the morning. Any ideas what am I doing wrong? I do practice for a long time but I’m only a youngster and never had this problem from running etc.

You can right a testimonial on your social media saying how I've improved you and tag me in on it. Buy or donate and for every pound you spend or give you get a slip in the draw. If you do a review its how I feel about it you mite get 1 you mite get 💯. Hope this helps buddy...
