It’s definitely a priority :p would be nice to actually be able to see what I’m doing when I land haha. Seriously I was getting a frame every 5 seconds when landing that even with obs turned off :p
one thing about Concorde, in fact it's main advantage over it's russian competitor, was the fact that Concorde was one of the earliest adopters of supercruising engines (i.e. engines which could maintain supersonic speeds without afterburner). Even though Concorde had burner cans on all four engines, the aircraft only used those for takeoff and climbout. Too bad it seems like KSP doesn't do supercruise. Or at least, the way the engine plumes work out doesn't make the engines look like they're using supercruise.
Of course it could supercruise; it’s European! The only surprise is that they didn’t put canards on it! Although the Soviets did nick the design (right down to the drum brakes the British engineers left the plans for out when showing Soviet dignitaries around to see if they could trick them into actually building them in an epic bit of trolling), so TU-144 canards were on an earlier design.
in game, there are toggleable engines, so im sure someone has probably already made an engine with insane high power at supersonic speeds that can add boost. but i guess carnasa didn't wanna do that
The Concord only used its reheater for take-off and to go supersonic. You flew the whole flight with it on. (like the Soviet Tu-144 had to do). You should be able to get to Brownsville. Maybe make the engines a bit more powerful so you can actually supercruise.
Shouldn't we have a Comsat covering the far side of the moon? Outside of that, fantastic DUKE (Dominion, UK, Empire) accomplishments. I will completely forgive the tail strike with Concorde, considering the difficulties at landing (which, imho, is not your fault. And will N9 be giving you money for that?). Why is the SST called Concorde? Sounds French. If it were developed w/o French money, what would the DUKE name it? Longbow? Great show, chap!
About lunar lander, with direct landing you can chose landing spot usually for me mods that show landing predictions help (idk if they allowed for your agency stage in for all kerbalkind) (and i use mech jeb landing guidance without it turned on but with enabled landing predictions checkmark, also i heard trajectories mod helps), and you can use rcs for choosing your landing site or mid-course correction burn. And also landing Soyuz in the North Sea in the winter seem hard on crew, as Soyuz not really craft meant for splashdown and North Sea in winter is quite cold... ) p.s. i play real solar system with rp1 with some guys on discord server so i did couple of direct lunar landings and completed second targeted landing contract with it and direct ascend lunar crew rocket. also i trying to send this comment several times because youtube is doing weird stuff i hope i would not spam it, i would try deleting then if i spam them on accident
3:08 Why you didn't use a low energy tli? (doing a flyby of the moon that raises a lot your periapsis, a manuver to have a second encounter with the moon and finally a much cheaper capture burn
Anyone else had problems with TH-cam crashing when opening this video in the beginning? It crashed like 3 times on my phone, I watched this on my laptop and it now works on my phone too
I am :) it’s still in development, I’ve had it for a while after speaking to MirageDev not sure if there’s been any progress recently though, need to check their discord and see if anything’s happening.

23:57 genuinely made me burst out laughing
as always, we are so FAKing back!
Amazing Video once again, glad to see FAK returning. Make sure to update the parallax configs before next episode 😅

sparrow mission but with a space lightning strapped on top
How do you dissapear for months on end and your return feels like you've never even left???
It’s not been that long this time :p, just a break over Christmas :p
But I dunno, I am eternal maybe

now that you have concorde. you are obligated to do a concorde eclipse flight
building a runway in-flight is such a chad move
We’re so back.
Low key bring back coming home
OOGA BOOGA OOGA BOOGA
you could be VERY funny and send a plane to the moon by doing an offbrand version of lunex's lander

Automatic thumbs up. =) Also, Concord, the invisible horse made up of coconut halves in Monty Python?
Oh neat a Carnasa video
Could you please continue Coming Home Redux, I absolutely loved it especially in comparison with the slow realism of For All Kerbalkind

I think he was worried about losing coms system like he did near surface.
yipppeeeeee
Yay concorde
11:34 what are those light flashes?
It'd be good to get some shots to actually see the crafts
Anyone else had problems with TH-cam crashing when opening this video in the beginning? It crashed like 3 times on my phone, I watched this on my laptop and it now works on my phone too
5:40 some aperture science nonsense right here
Wait was that new reentry effects mod released? I must have missed that.
le concorde
Are you using MirageDev's reentry effects mod? I thought that thing would never, ever be done.
I am :) it’s still in development, I’ve had it for a while after speaking to MirageDev not sure if there’s been any progress recently though, need to check their discord and see if anything’s happening.
Hello
Which mod is used for the concorde parts?
there are multiple mods, cockpit is SXT, wings are procedural and the rest is Rp-1 stuff
Concordski ripoff :)
Well, they did the USSR jet engines for the MiG-15 a few years ago...😉
