The stethoscope bit had me laughing so hard! Right after my graduation I went to my son’s baseball game wearing my stethoscope in the stands for the entire game!! 😂😂😂 I’ll be retiring in 2023 after 30 years in nursing.

This was sooo me! I had the RN ballons & book pics too 🤣 SMC Nursing class of 2021! And my family always asking me something like I’m a doctor 🤣🤣🤣 I deserved to be extra for graduation because I did it with 6 kids all 10 & under & gave birth right after a pharm test.

It’s the “R.N.” Letter signs before officially taking the NCLEX for me! I took pictures with those letters and was scared as hell… what if I don’t pass? Lol 😬 Nurse Blake! I’ve been watching your videos since I was in nursing school. Now I’m a year post grad and finishing up my first travel assignment . Thank you for keeping it real and keeping us smiling! 👩🏾⚕️💕

Nurse Blake never disappoints us- This reminds me of when I graduated from RN school. I bought an RN sticker and posted it on my refrigerator. The sticker is still on my refrigerator after 6 years. I bought a new refrigerator and transferred the sticker on to the new refrigerator. This sticker reminds me that I can accomplish anything. ❤️ you Nurse Blake

So much has changed!!!😂 I have been a nurse for 30 years and it was basically dinner out. No pictures, no balloons, no hoopla....I will say I did throw my books across the room so some things never change.🤣
I only graduated 6 years ago and me and my closest classmates didn’t do any of that, we were just over it lol
@@samirahh4229 I can definitely understand that. I kind of felt the same way. I was more than ready to close that chapter for good and never reopen that book again. I honestly think you survive nursing school not go to it. So much of what I learned I have never once used. Agonizing over those stupid care plans and nursing diagnosis only to never do it again in the real world.

I was lucky enough to take my NCLEX before graduation and passed! So I fully celebrated this past weekend.
BS. There is no state that allows a student to take the NCLEX before graduation.

I didn’t go to my graduation, didn’t have a party - burned my books while drinking rum & cokes in the back yard. Took the NCLEX 2 weeks later. Was so sick of school I didn’t even care about any of it.
That is Soooo more my style. Nursing school is traumatizing me. I don’t want to celebrate or think about it when I’m done. I want rum, book burning and therapy

Ok as goofy as this is THAT WAS TOTALLY MEEEE! I still haven’t’ been able to take my grad pics even tho i graduated in august and have been working for 2 months but I’m about to get off orientation in 1 week! It’s amazing I’ve gotten this far but in school I could not even imagine graduation! I saw a post that says “I survived nursing school during a pandemic, you can;t scare me!” It’s true!!!

That was totally me. Then l started working as a new grad in ICU. It was a serious reality check..at the end of my shift I would come home smelling like all day azz..l was to exhausted to stand in the shower, so l would sit down. Years later I often reflect on my 1st year as a RN..

Were those your books from one semester? I kept all my books and handouts from nursing school (including the general education courses). After graduation, I stacked all the books and handouts on the floor and took a photo of myself standing beside them. The stack was a few inches taller than me.

Hey i m starting my bsc nursing degree coming year...... Any important things I should keep in mind throughout the journey?......majority of comment section are nurses probably so they know better.......

Due to Lyme and pregnancy, I was in a terrible state of health while doing my BSN. I had to quit school with just a few classes left. In a blink of an eye, 10 years have passed since the last time I picked up the nursing textbooks. I want to go back to school and restart my career in 2022. I know I have lost a lot of years not doing any nursing related work. I am terrify of going back into the health field. I don’t remember much of anything I have learned. Do you think it’s possible for me go back to the nursing career? Would I be able to get a job as a nurse since I have such a large gap in employment and schooling? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there! You would absolutely be able to get a job as an RN after graduation, doesn’t matter the the time gap in between jobs. There are plenty of people I know that went straight into nursing school without any healthcare experience and got a job as an RN without a problem. Nursing is and always will be in demand. I’m sure you’re scared and that’s ok, but if you could do it the first time you can do it again. I start nursing school January 18th and I’m so scared myself, last class I took was Microbiology last year. so we’re in this together lol. Best of luck to you

Hurst review! I graduated in May and went over the review with the workbook and videos, then re read the book, did the 4 practice nclex test and passed in 75 questions. Once you get to the triage on nclex questions you know you’re good because they’re higher level. Good luck. You can do it!
100% agree with @Danielle Coffey! Hurst is amazing and such a life saver! I passed my NCLEX on the first try because of it!
