Thank you for making this video!🎉 we just purchased a car and I didn't know how to change the regular fuel cap to the new locking fuel cap. I was nervous I was gonna mess something up. Good to know the whole connection to the cap comes off.
@@49Ladidi If I am understanding you correctly, no. Not unless you can get a new tether by itself but you probably wont. For the money and effort though, even if you could you may as well get a new cap too.
Just took my gas cap off today of my Chevy Malibu 08 before I paint it I had took a lot of parts off it weeks ago but it wasn't that hard taking it off the rear bumper was more hard to me and taking off the grille in front.

No problem, glad I could help. :)
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.
No problem, glad to have assisted :)
Thank you. I was looking for this. What I did is first tried the cap on to make sure it fits since it was aftermarket and then tether the gas gap.

I didn't snap the tether, but the rubber thing that holds the tether to the car is missing. Is there any way to attach it now?

The background noise?
No clue, it was background noise, somebody was doing something somewhere, beyond that I have no idea.
Very helpful. Thanks.
How tight should my gascap be if there is no clicks indicated on gascap
Just tighten it, until you hear it click, then stop. You don't need multiple clicks.
I'm looking for a tethered locking fuel cap. I cannot find one. I'm pretty sure they do not exist in the world.

Thanks bro
