Bless you both, and I hope you, "live long and prosper".
Hi, just an update from our visit on the 6th of November to Delmonicos. A absolute fabulous evening, the signature steak is the best I’ve ever eaten. The service was incredible and they made us feel really special as we were celebrating our anniversary. Once again thank you for your video which made us choose Delmonicos. 👍
I had the pleasure of having lunch there with 6 coworkers in the 1960's. It was a 3 hour lunch. Beyond incredible! And it was my boss's treat. Quite an expensive lunch but such a fine experience.
Had office Christmas party there - in January1987.... Amazing experience for a kid from the country. Happy to see an iconic restaurant living up to its past. Over the years I've eaten in famous restaurants in New York that no longer lived up to the hype.
First congratulations on 1000 🎉 and the food looked absolutely delicious. The place looked like a great place to go to for a special occasion anniversary and birthdays. I would definitely love to go there.👍👍
I’d go there every year on numerous business deals before the pandemic but not since then. Never had a bad meal, service is generally outstanding. I miss those trips. Sad!
I’m celebrating my mum’s birthday mext week and thank you so much for helping me decide on where to go and it will also be my first time in NYC and you guys deserve 10k + subscribers already 🎉
That’s amazing, have a great time! Delmonico’s and Keens are definitely our favorites when it comes to steakhouses. Haha thank you, really appreciate it!
This place is number two on my list right after the "French Laundry" in Napa. If you just want the perfect steak I'd recommend the Buckhorn Exchange in Denver.
The French Laundry looks incredible, definitely on our bucket list too! And thanks, we actually might be making a trip to Colorado next year so we'll have to check it out!
@@travelfuller I will I'm going to try Le petit Chef Nov 4 after that I'll go to Delmonicos Try the pancakes at chez ma tante and burger at au Cheval also at Bar Masa Kobe beef fried rice and Green tea mousse. It's probably beef fried rice now
@@travelfuller This has been common in Europe for decades. I'm not sure about the states, but at many Asian restaurants (not South Asian) here in Canada you can get a discount up to 10% if you pay in cash.
@@travelfuller I think it is just so hard for businesses (especially restaurants) to survive these days. Amex charges double what the other cards charge! I always carry some cash because some Asian restaurants in my city give a cash discount. You have to be very careful with your bill because some businesses will hide card fees in the bill.
Every side and the dessert looked great, but a bit overpriced. The steak was perfectly cooked and priced. I understand why these places charge you for the use of credit cards, but I generally don’t walk around with $250-$300 cash.
I've got to stop watching these types of videos at midnight. You had steak and I hangerly opened a bag of chips. Great vid. Thanks. I really didn't think $200 bucks for such a great meal in NYC was over the top. Don't get me wrong. I'm not JP Morgan but great things cost. Looks like a great meal. Thanks again. Congrats.
I promise I’m in no way trying to influence what anyone else does… Octopus (which I used to love to eat…sautéed , grilled, whatever) is the one eating change that taking up scuba diving 25 years ago brought to me. Too beautiful, too friendly, too smart, too curious…I just can’t eat ‘em anymore. Love Delmonico’s, nice video!
We haven’t been to Ruth Chris’s yet so I can’t speak to that but it’s much different than Keens. If you’re looking for a more traditional steakhouse, Keens is your spot. Delmonico’s is more like a fine dining restaurant that happens to have a great steak
It was amazing! And yes, I think sharing one steak is more than enough with a starter and some sides. Especially if you're going to get a Baked Alaska!
So im guessing you guys just had water with your entire meal. Definitely a good way to save money but gosh I definitely need some cocktails with my meal. For sure that'll be another 50 bucks.
Personally I thought the salad looked basic and the chef was trying too hard. Blimey the steak was so overpriced…it’s just a steak at the end of the day. I hate putting things down but you gave the impression of saying everything was great because of where you were rather than giving an honest assessment. You will struggle to get subscribers unless you change your approach. You had already made your mind up that it was going to be AWSOM before you stepped in the place.
That’s totally fair, if you’re out for a nice dinner you don’t want to be bothered. We always try to go on off days/times and be respectful but if that’s not possible than we just use voiceover
Weird comment. Unlike big name youtubers, these individuals were very low key in their commentary (low voices) and used mostly voiceover. They didn’t film other patrons unnecessarily either (or the server, for that matter - many youtubers just post their servers faces/voices). I think you’re fighting the wrong people here
My 0.02 cents anyway. I 'disliked this video.' First, if you're going to dine at Delmonico's, tie or do something with your hair. Brushing it out of your mouth for each bite is....trite. Then, the Vocal Fry. Get rid of it. I mean, OMG ! Like right? Glad you enjoyed the food, but your portrayal was sophomoric at best. Best
An overrated restaurant. One can by a filet, rib eye, sirloin, “T”Bone for a fraction of the price and grill it yourself. Just say’n. A bunch of the high end steak houses are of the same caliber. Patrons are paying for the name and privilege of dining of a famously named establishment. Ain’t worth the dough.
that crust looks amazing on the steak. Delminico's a New York Icon
It was so good! Lives up to the hype
Trust Me It Is🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤

Great video thank you, my wife and I have a reservation at delmonicos on the 6th of November and after watching your video we can’t wait 👍

Thanks for your review! I'm going to Delmonico's tonight. It's been on my bucket list for a long time.

@@travelfuller why do you cut your meat and then switch your fork to your right hand to eat? It makes no sense at all.
Switching hands for the fork is the traditional American style of using the utensils. Not switching is the European style.
Very cool, I'll have to get down there! Gallagher's has been my go-to recently, but this is on my radar. Thanks for the review!
Gallagher's is an amazing spot as well! Delmonico's is certainly worth a try but you're not missing out on much with Gallagher's

I like how Kristin takes the time to thank viewers for watching. Is it common for restaurants in the U.S. to charge for paying with a credit card?
Unfortunately it’s becoming more and more common these days. We’ve seen it at almost half the restaurants we’ve tried in NYC
