Ernest did not play ball. But his Dad was a league Base Ball player. Ernest has always been a Sports announcer. Great guy. 👍👍👍

Barkley was a power forward, but rarely, ocassionally played center. He wasn't particularly tall, but he was a beast on rebounding and going to the rim. One of his most famous nicknames is "the round mound of rebound" due to his ability to get them.

Chuck was listed at 6'6" but was allegedly 6'4.5". Played Power Forward in the post for a large part of his career, also played out on the elbow later on when he didn't have the same strength to compensate for his size

0:50 That's Danny Ainge, who played for the Suns late in his career. He was the Boston Celtics GM (he did play for, and won 2 rings with them in the 80's with Larry Bird and Robert Parish), now the Utah Jazz's GM. Ainge's shooting got better over time, because he couldn't hit anything on his first practice as a rookie according to Larry Bird.

Charlies’ college coach, Sonny Smith, said Charles loved college. It was the school work he didn’t like. He loves Auburn and Auburn loves him. He shows up on campus for most home basketball games.

To answer your question, Charles was mostly a power forward. Sometimes played center if other players were out. Ernie was never a player, but it seems like these sports analysts fancy their off time trying to learn a game in order to explain it better, plus they always have access to so many arenas. EJ has showed up Barkley several times. Its weird, but those analyst and commentator guys are involved in being around sports all their life. They learn a thing or two.

13:44 He's a sheriff, too. If you get put to the ground. He can just sit on you, and it's over.

  • @BrockMak

4:34 He never played in a team, but he does have shootarounds on his driveway with a rim attached above the garage door.

Barkley was an undersized 4. He was relatively short for the position but still one of the best rebounders of all time.

He was shorter than most power forwards, but I wouldn't call him undersized. ;)

You should react to "How Good Was Charles Barkley Actually". He was a force - points, rebounds and assists, a small power forward outrebounding 7 footers. And when he drove to the basket everybody got out of his way.

    • @mattcampbell334
      @mattcampbell334 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

And he was listed at 6'6" but he would tell us he's 6'4" When he was with the Sixers and Suns, nobody wanted anything to do with him on the court. A lot of people like to talk about signature moves but Charles Barkley's ability to jump off two feet and dunk is one of the most underrated moves in NBA history

Charles Barkley is from Alabama. A super down to earth guy. Shared beers with him in Las Vegas a week after he threw some superfan through a window. He is just as funny in real life.

I think Ernie Johnson was the one who changed the teleprompter lol
Chuck played power forward. Despite being undersized, he was one of the best rebounders in his time.
I was half-expecting the TNT clip where they mentioned the time that Chuck had to miss a game because he got lotion in his eye.

Something about the way Chatles Barkley, talks, his voice, sounds like Mohammed Ali. Are they from the same part of the U.S ?

Both are from the South: Ali was from Kentucky, and Barkley is from Alabama.

I saw most of these clips when they aired. Charles picked Iverson over MJ--unfortunately, Charles and MJ who were like brothers, had a major falling out many years ago. MJ said that they probably won’t get past that. It’s a shame. Charles is willing.

Love Charles Barkley! He's brutally honest and I appreciate that!
They should have sought medical attention for him when he zoned out like that. Could be a stroke or a head bleed from a ruptured aneurysm....serious stuff that requires treatment ASAP. Not funny at all and they should be ashamed of themselves.
