      Why do liberals hat hunting so much? They go on and on about how "racism is in our DNA" but what about things that are ACTUALLY in human DNA... like the need to hunt and gather.

    That first rabbit you took on a running shot was spectacular. That was a beautiful shot. I give you much respect for passing on the second running shot because it was too far away.

    You should try some heavy weight pellets, they don't slow down over range as much and they cut through wind really well. You lose some initial velocity, but it's worth it.

    • @robertsaberniak007
      @robertsaberniak007 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      the alt-flight. I like heavier rounds because they really knock small animals on their butt

    • @charlesthaden3545

      also quieter and better accuracy, if your pellet can go supersonic, once it slows to subsonic it’ll start to tumble.

    I remember hearing some reason they have a tendency to circle around back to where they started. Tried that a few years back and it seemed to hold true. Orange groves, brushy fields , seemed to work out . Taught me patience. Even at 49 I’m learning that.

      Rabbits definitely won’t stop running, ever. Killed hundreds and hundreds of jacks and cottons and that is absolutely not a thing. Rabbits scare at any noise at all, that’s why you walk heavy when rabbit hunting so they flush. They will never stop until they don’t see you.

    When I was 16 years old in 1968 my friends and I each had a “Crossman 760” and every fall we went rabbit hunting. The use of a pellet didn’t do it for us, so the “BB” was the killer for us. To kill the rabbit it was best done by the kill to the head or neck. Once I st a rabbit in the belly and the BB bounced off and hit me in my leg and it hurt. I would come home with 2 or 3 rabbits and my father would skin it then we check the live, if it had black dot then the rabbit was unhealthy to eat. I would tan the hide and make a winter rabbit hat and gloves to help keep warm, these were the best years of my life.

I got one issue I'm a big airgun guy and I gotta tell you your dad was wrong a pellet gun CAN reach 100+ yards maybe not your little gamo but there are others that can last week I made a 144yd shot on a jack out by Mt. Charleston other than that your the man good shots.

    • @SinCityOutdoors
      @SinCityOutdoors  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, mine will shoot 100 yards but there was a cross wind and the rabbits are tough. I might upgrade to a Benjamin Marauder eventually and I’ll be able to make further shots. What did you use for the 144 yard shot?

      well technically even we can die and be as beneficial as when we were alive, 1st law of thermodynamics states that all the energy that exists has always existed and will only exist, it it neither born nor dies, it only changes form when we die. so in a very real way you become part of what you eat be it animal or plant.

    I live on the other side of the mojave desert. Ive been getting ready to hunt jackrabbits, seen them out in the desert all my life. They spook easy, only time i ever see them is from the backside as they are running away from my dog. I think you either have to call them to you or be really sneaky. Its going to be tough to get inside 50 yards of one.

    I would love to see coyote hunting at night! And is your Gamo Air Rifle hard to pull down for reloading because my Gamo rifle that is a different model is hard to pull down.

    Are rabbits good this time of year in Arizona?

  • @DYLANJJK94

    Even If you have a Henry AR-7 and or the little badger in .22lr while living off the land for awhile or you’re stranded, In case you somehow fell and lost your gear, like your survival gun and main bigger calibre gun and or you just need a rabbit to keep you going, A bb gun might be a good idea as backup and quieter that’s ever needed.

    Also he's not talking about every rabbit, so make sure you check laws where you live. Also check the rabbits and which rabbits are near you.
