This is my current theory as to the meaning of Candy Cadet's stories and the origins of the Tangle. I'm currently working on the tally code from Bonnie Bowl. / discord
I personally wonder if the Tangle is Henry. He's lost, confused, and angry. Still, he wants to protect the children. I believe we see this as symbolism in sun and moon. Moon is obviously dangerous and represents William Afton, but Sun has his own issues. Sun wants to keep Gregory and protects him to an obsessive degree and only gets rid of him when seen as a danger. In ruin, He gently lets Cassy go after being merged with both halves of his personality. What I'm saying is this. William and Henry are two sides of a singular, damaged mind.
That's super interesting, but I'm wondering why he attacks Gregory on the way down but not Freddy in the base game if that's the case. The sun and moon stuff is really good. Are you implying that William and Henry have some kind of split personality situation going on with that last bit?
Once you pointed out what Candy Cadet's purpose was in Ruin, I immediately came to the same conclusion about the Tangle and the FFPS ending. It makes me wonder if some of the UCN voice lines were trying to hint at this as well, such as Orvil's whispered line
I watched so many theory videos, and THIS absolutely makes sense now. It felt like pieces were falling into place. I hope Matpat sees this. Keep it up. 💯
actually the story about the kittens and snake don't specify that 5 things were combined into one, just that the "snake went to the shoebox, chose a kitten at random, and ate it" and that "[the boy] cut the snake open. He pieced the remains together and put the kitten back into the shoebox." the only mention of the digit (5) is when it's stated that it's been five nights before the snake was cut open by the boy. i really don't believe henry's plan failed, but i do see where you're coming from and can see evidence supporting that. the ending of pizza sim felt so final and to just retcon it and say it just failed feels pretty unsatisfying. i prefer thinking of the tangle as the victims of the mimic/AR animatronics. it puts a barrier between the steelwool era and scott era stories and i think that's better in my opinion. still, you're reserved to your own of course! though the way you connected that candy cadet gives you stories based on the situations you're in FEELS like an obvious thing, but i never really connected the dots properly except in my subconscious so kudos for that! I'll keep it in mind for if CC ever shows up in another game ^__^ (sure hope he does, i love that guy)
Henry's plan did work, since Happiest Day is shown to have happened by the Brazil Ending of Ruin. Tangle is implied to be made of the people mimic killed in Tales in FFPP, and most likely has parts from the AR Game and A,I based on the VR Game, since we see Nightmarionne plushies and Plush Babys sneaking around the Pizzaplex at the same time Tangle's Puppet mask and Baby head seem empty. Why Nightmarionne and Plush Babys? To show they are not the original characters, but are supernatural A.I based on the game Mimic1 was used to make. Tangle is even an amalgamation with animatronic heads like the HW cover art. It's Mimic1 trying to recreate the past.
The majority of your comment makes sense. I can absolutely see that being why it's Nightmarrione and Plush Baby, and I want to go back and look into things more through that lens. I'm having trouble understanding what you mean by "Happiest Day is shown to have happened by the Brazil Ending of Ruin." Would you mind elaborating a bit on that point?
@@Mommacado We see the HD balloons in the Brazil Ending, an illusion Mimic made to make Cassie think she was free, which is why we see Gregory and Vanessa on the hill that SB implies represents freedom. While in-universe, the balloons are most likely just there to give Cassie a false sense of security, SteelWool clearly did this to show that the MCI kids and Charlie are free. That's why SB shows the hill after the 2 main endings of SB as a symbol of freedom.
I see the logic there; the thought process does make sense. I have to say that I disagree that this was the intent. While I do think it's meant to invoke the thought of HD, I don't believe we can say that the appearance of the balloons within a clear lie confirms it happened. I don't think saying HD happened is mutually exclusive to believing this theory, though. As I pointed out, it could just be agony left over. If that's the case, then HD absolutely could've done away with the remnant and left the agony.
@@Mommacado Agony and Remnant are the same thing. And since William is gone, HD would have already happened a while ago. While Tangle is for sure based on Molten Freddy, and has thematic ties to him, Tangle is implied to be it's own entity with it;s own Agony.
Finaly someone says that! I ALWAYS suspected that Henry plan will not work After all, William survived one fire, why would the second one end him? Plus, even in UCN a vengful spirit says: "He tried to release you, he tried to release us. But I'm not gonna let that happen NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES THEY BURN US" ⬆️This and the Fazbear Frights story "Man in a room 1280" tells us that Henry's plan ultimately failed and at least William, the vedgful spirit (and possibly Charlie, but that's up for debate) where never released -> the spirit clinched onto William and (as I suspect) kept him alive, but tortured using the nightmares which we can see in UCN
I see the logic here and I do like an explanation for how the blob came into being. Its appearance in security breach just felt wrong/wierd like “come on, just let those characters have an end.” If this is true, though, then candy cadet has psychic premonitions because he knows what will happen ahead of time, and the stories he tells are only loosely correct. For example, in Ruin, he says the mother locked the monster away, and the monster mimicked the mother’s voice, luring in the son. If Cassie is supposed to be the son who frees the monster, then, what? Gregory is the mother? The gender of both characters gets swapped, the parent/child relationship doesn’t carry over at all, and the fact that it was the mother who trapped the monster also doesn’t carry? I think it’s definitely possible you’re entirely right. And, there are some upsides to that being the case. I subscribed after watching this video because you have a unique perspective on things. Still, I’m not sure how much I like the facts that candy cadet would have to be able to see the future and that you have to squint extremely hard at each of his stories in order for them to map onto real events.
Good theory but I do think Scott did intend for Henry’s plan to work as of the development of fnaf 6 and would imagine this theories would have meant something else at the time. Could definitely be the case now though

I've seen the snake story interpreted both ways, and you'll likely see it used both ways in different theories from different people. It's pretty vague on whether the snake kills one each night or not, but yes only one kitten is explicitly stated as being eaten. I also agree on the ultimate guide needing to be taken with a grain of salt, but I don't think that means it should be totally thrown out. While it makes for great supporting evidence, basing a theory entirely on ultimate guide evidence would be a mistake.

The problem is it is ambigous WETHER we are suposed to think it ate all the kuttene over those Five days or not. It is clearly different from the other two. In the other two our hero failed to save 5 children because they stupidly gathered everything into one place. One og five keys to save one of five child. Bit melting them together saved no one. Gathering children in danger in one place to stop a serial killer but then the killer comes, but only one coffin can be aforded. The snake story is our hero lets the murderer kill one child by leaving the door open but then regress it five days later and tries to undo it. With no clear indication on WETHER this was a repeat occurance. Too many metaphors. What is literal here? Was there a coffin? Was there a key? Does it matter the snake was red? Who was at the door? Police? The kids? The burglar? Seems like someone (presumably Vanessa from the movie.) was trapped by William and was given the chance to save one of the kids but in trying to be smart she failed to save any of them. Then someone tried to shelter five other kids from William but failed. And was then visited by someone. (Presumably our hero was the one arrested for the mci.) This leaves the one that was complicit in the death of a child. (Presumably Cassidy or Charlotte As they were the only one to come after the killer.) I don’t know how the heck this fits in.
If Michael was suposed to be there then either he is Henry or somewhere Else either in the building separate from us or not in pizzeria simulator. Because the player character can not be Michael. Because the ad was not ment for the player character. Meaning it was ment for Michael and he didnt show. Because we did. Or Henry didnt intent to burn Michael. There was Even an exit for the usefull idiot planned. Michael had nothing to do with the plan.
Michael was never intended to be there, but ended up And we play as Michael To quote Henry: "And to you, my brave volunteer, who somehow found this job listing NOT INTENDED for you, although, there was a way out planed for you, I have a feeling that's not what you want, I have a feeling you are right WHERE YOU WANT TO BE" Of course it's more of a speculation, but Michael is MOST LIKELY the one we are playing as
