Austin, Texas' annual Eeyore's Birthday Party reminds me of the Winnie the Pooh Storybook Classic "Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore" where Eeyore was left out, and thought that nobody remembers his birthday.

I wish they had more scenes of the actual festival. Ironically Mayor Milktoast and his crew of incompetents have certainly made Austin less fun.

Editor here: Sorry. We were trying to get the gist of the festival and what it does for the community. Otherwise, it’d just be a bunch of crazy shit lol hope you enjoyed though :)

It used to be so awesome. I remember the first year beer was allowed to be sold. Commercialism, soon crept in. Its funny to see people watch the drum circles with confused looks, and why are these "freaks" here? Now its just a tourist money pit. Back in the days some people would "drop" certain things, that other people could find and partake in.

some of us still drop certain things, just later in the afternoon/early evening when its not full of kids.

This looks interesting and it's nice it was English people started this. Has the English guy been back? It's also nice to see this side of Texas as the image we have in the UK is guns, over the top cops and the most executions in the free world.

I'm sorry Robert Williamson, but you misunderstood... the party was started by English Department students, not Englishmen.

suzbone - Oh, I see, it is the way he said "English students," that made it sound like students from England, as opposed to students studying English. Well at least Eeyore and the gang are English. It looks like a fun day out.
