People love to rip down people that have done well, made it careers that have impossible odds. They love to watch stars fall on hard times and gloat. That's why they buy the tabloids and watch the tabloid trash entertainment news shows. It used to be the Paparazzi Camera men would not release unflattering shots as they were protecting the person they were making the living from. That they had part of humane obligation to present them in their best light and image . Not to be that ""photographer"" that makes their living off of other people's misfortune and misery. Back when their was still a divide in journalism about quality and not the attitude of if it bleeds it leads with glee on air media personal face that it is "hard" news day with tragedy and blood guts that sensationalism is good for ratings.... Now they call it "engagements" for websites and the internet.... The more things change the more some of mankind's worst behaviors stay the same.
Fist of, i love the show. But that's not cruel, it's the real world, it happened. I'm happy that she got her life back on track but why should they hide anything? Again don't get me wrong, i love the show and i love all the cast i'm just re-watching the whole thing now.

I rewatched all the seasons recently! honestly, it's wayy too iconic! regardless if they do a reboot or not, it's okay.. like Ben said "it's timeless", we could just rewatch it and bring back those beautiful times
Honestly, it’s probably a healthy thing that they don’t want to revisit their high school characters. It just shows that they have grown up and moved on.
Just discovered this during lockdown on an Italian channel. I love the show, but sometimes I get frustrated at the lack of development of the characters. I don't think a redo would be possible. It will become a classic of an era. So funny to see cell phones but no texting! Thank you all.

It was so difficult to watch the OC as a young kid here in Germany. Until today its one of my favourite series ever made, still watching it at least once a year.
Season three was the worse. My favourite seasons in order; Season 1,4,2,3 in that exact order. Excellent series. Brilliant timeless and modern original series at the time. Go OC!

They could have had a better final season with her character that what it was without her.
You always look for the worst photo you can find of the person to show them now. I’ve seen her now and she looks great. She doesn’t look like that. We’ve all had horrid photos snapped of us at a bad angle or day and went wtf, then the next day we look incredible in the photo.

This would be the best thing to happen. Hands down The O.C was the best Teen age drama show in the early to mid 00's I was 12 when it aired, and never missed an episode. I would like if they made the original charterers who went to Harbor, parents now, and lets do it all over again just like The Hills, got New Beginnings, the time is now to get it going. Even if every one doesn't come back, they could still make it work. Like if Adam didn't come back it would still get ratings. As long as Peter, Kelly, Ben, Melinda and Rachel came back I think with them it would be successful enough to have at least a few seasons. Kelly, and Peter being grandparents now. I can imagine it.

Too many people don't remember when The big Three Network Stations(in the USA) would make reunion movies for bringing the cast back together from popular TV Shows later on life with an ongoing story line, that was also a stand alone TV movie. Basically you got your characters as if you were looking on them later in life as if their show had never ended and events kept happening. We don't need another "Dukes of Hazzard" Reboot/Re-imagined show would not do the same, fans would be hurt and new watchers may not take to it. Not everything can pull of a "Battlestar Galactica" which had so much hate for making Starbuck female......and it went completely opposite from light hearted family show, it was dark look at humanity (post 9-11 with their worlds/12 planets all nuked in blind sided attack, it had light moments and hope but the series show humanity in darkness) that asked a question of "why do we deserve to survive?" Which was put to the test.
I was leafing through a friend's photo album and saw her son sitting with a girl that looked just like Marissa Barton and I said so. My friend (from California) said that was 'Steven's girlfriend, Marissa Barton'.....they went together in High School. I was shocked. At the time the OC was on TV and a big show. How funny!!! She said they broke up before they got out of High School and that Marissa was a very nice person. I believe her.
I love the oc but it ended on a good note... As much as I would love to see waht ryan and Taylor , seth and summer kids look like now are what trouble they cause their parents. Luke almost looks like 20 years ago now. He is doing amazing and even he was an Idiot at the beginning of the series, he started to get my favourite because he changed alot to positive.
I don't know how the actors appearing in the same show points at a reboot, although I would love to see one. Personally, I don't think it will happen as it appears most of the actors have moved on to other things and have little interest in it.
I would love a reboot but most of them have done well, I knew Benjamin Mackenzie would be a big influence one day and Olivia Wilde in purple highlights was hard to forget 😍. Still season 1 reminds me of the good old days
How you not mention Peter Gallagher was on Law and Order SVU one of the biggest shows on television. He was on there longer then some of the shows you mentioned. But Mischa went downhill after the O.C.
Rewatching the show and I’m about to wrap it up. Season 4 is too bittersweet without Mischa in it. Can’t fathom what happen to her and it was a shocking twist to the show.
Reboot. Definitely. Marisa was my favourite character, but I was a fan of all of them for different reasons. I like how Mischa acts. She has talent and that role was a great platform for her. But, I think there's a bit of tension about a reunion. IDK. We DON'T KNOW everything that happened behind the scenes.

I love the oc but it ended on a good note... As much as I would love to see waht ryan and Taylor , seth and summer kids look like now are what trouble they cause their parents. Oc ending was enough for me everyone is where they are meant to be so no reboot may a movie of what parents life is like for the group and seths little sister and Ryan little brother and what they are like???. No to the reboot. Just no. A reunion is what they should do. Just an hour long special reunion of characters and thats the most it should do.
I don't know how the actors appearing in the same show points at a reboot, although I would love to see one. Personally, I don't think it will happen as it appears most of the actors have moved on to other things and have little interest in it.
I would love a reboot but most of them have done well, I knew Benjamin Mackenzie would be a big influence one day and Olivia Wilde in purple highlights was hard to forget 😍. Still season 1 reminds me of the good old days

How you not mention Peter Gallagher was on Law and Order SVU one of the biggest shows on television. He was on there longer then some of the shows you mentioned. But Mischa went downhill after the O.C.
Rewatching the show and I’m about to wrap it up. Season 4 is too bittersweet without Mischa in it. Can’t fathom what happen to her and it was a shocking twist to the show.

Reboot. Definitely. Marisa was my favourite character, but I was a fan of all of them for different reasons. I like how Mischa acts. She has talent and that role was a great platform for her. But, I think there's a bit of tension about a reunion. IDK. We DON'T KNOW everything that happened behind the scenes.
