Puyo Puyo is an extremely popular puzzle game series in Japan that originated as spinoff of Madou Monogatari ( tasvideos.org/... ). By making a chain of 4 or more Puyo's, they explode and deliver garbage onto the opponent's screen.
This run of Super Puyo Puyo 2 produces combos strong enough to completely overwhelm the competition every time.
The previous entry in the series, Puyo Puyo, has been localized under other names such as Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine ( tasvideos.org/... ) and Kirby's Avalanche ( tasvideos.org/... ) with different themes, but the gameplay remains the same.

Puyo Puyo tsu (2) Is the First game where Offsetting and All Clear Mechanics were introducced.
And the Max Nuisance Puyos were increased and Updated by Red to Purple to Moon to Star and to Crown.

@@ColinJoesseppiVEVO Yes, that's true and you can counter them as well, from Puyo Puyo 20th onwards introduced an special animation for countering garbage puyos.

@@Hamble_Gambles His AI is programmed to mindlessly fill the bottom four rows with beans before doing anything else. This sometimes helps chains happen, but it's not a very good strat.

Does anyone know how fast you can beat a signle stage? I got 10 seconds against Nomi once (that wasn't enough to levelup, though).

@@TheChompChamp7650 According to the SNES - Nintendo Switch Online service, Compile originally made the game, but since they went bankrupt, SEGA picked up the rights to the Puyo Puyo franchise, which includes this game. It's based on who currently owns the IP rights to certain games.
