Tana Tutorial | How to use Semantic Functions in Tana

- Semantic functions are one of the things that got me sold on Tana. They allow you to build powerful organizational structures or information hierarchies from the bottom up.
I don't think you need to be intimidated by them, despite them being hidden in the advanced options of your field menu. If you approach them in a systematic way, they become easily accessible. In this video, I break down exactly how semantic functions work, and I'll also show some examples where they could be useful in your own workspace.

I appreciate the effort in teaching this subject in such a didactic way. Until now, I always felt like I was missing something....
Thanks for the feedback :)
Great job as always....
Thanks, I appreciate that 🙏🏼
Great Video! Just to confirm in your ontology only the RELATIONSHIP field has semantic function turned on? No others?
Thanks 🙏🏼 The "Relationship" field is the main one, and is the main structure behind my workspace. There is another one that I experimented with for dates, but it wasn't working as I would have liked so I have parked it temporarily.
Great job. Is that a new thing in Tana where we can just out a # in the field and it will automatically gain the supertag of the column it's in? It's was annoying a few of us having supertags in the columns.
Thanks 🙏🏼 No, it's been around for a while - you just need to change the field to "Instance" and then it will auto-suggest the supertag :)
