In truth I never thought you would be able to get out of the harbor. I admire your determination, courage and willingness to learn. I bet your learning at a furious pace. Not quite so bumbling now. I'm so glad when I am wrong in this kind of way. All the best and fair winds Bumbling. Subscribed.
Terry I have enjoyed every leg of your trip you have done extremely well taking this trip on through the winter months. I hope you have a good cabin heater down below .
If all those yachts on the pontoons moved closer together, there would have been room for other boats not to have to raft up, Bloody yachties !😂😂😂 Good episode again Tery 👍🏻 Spat my cuppa out laughing at your commentary coming in to port at the end,
Be careful as you know the north sea can be deadly and un-forgiving as your sailing skills have now improved you should be in no trouble as long as you listen to the weather reports which i know you do so have a great trip and all the best from John from Rugby UK.
Terry another good vid mate also remember if you see fog is around always take a bearing or a reading and check your compass immediately cause they be the only thing you have in the end as you found out. Well done though Malc uk 🇬🇧
One time I went into Eyemouth single handed, the harbour master (Johnny) came out in his own wooden Folk Boat to welcome me and guide me in. This would have been 1997/8. A lovely welcome to a lovely working harbour. Then there are eateries galore including the best Fish and Chips in the world. 2 local families compete to produce the 2 best ice creams in the world. Duck through that arch on the other side and you will find a door that sells the best seafood in the world, and a couple of hundred yards up the road is the best chandlery in the world, catering for professional fishermen to kids on holiday, so a right good range of boat and fishing gear at good prices. All in all, don’t cruise past Eyemouth, cruise to it. The good thing about being fearful of entering an unknown harbour is that the fear concentrates the mind. Fear is part of our survival instinct.
Just found your channel, loving the content. You probably don't realise the inspiration you pass on to others by doing what you're doing, myself included. In one of the earlier videos you mentioned you would post a video on how you set up your sheet to tiller steering, did you ever get round to that? Also if your name is Terry....who is Fin?? You're smashing it....cheers fella!
Hi Bumbling Sailor! Hey I also have a Scampi 30! I have couple of questions for you Bro! I m a Frenchman based in Edinburgh (Burntisland) and I was wandering what type of autopilot do you have (is it any good) also where did I you get new sails and lastly where did you get the sprayhoods? Thank so much ! I ll go in the Shetlands this summer! You want to come 🤣
Was that crappy/sunny bit as you passed at Andrew’s and in front of the forth? Just made they Eyemouth light as it got dark and swore I’d gone to far trying to find 174, hard right and just follow it to fuck as your tired and can swim to beach from there, and then your in… and inti the tortured soul for pints and food, and a great nights kip. Great team in harbour and lovely town. haven’t left yet… Nightshift. That’s my old lady. Fenders are there for tired guests..

It's a funny thing about rough sea....someone said to me once, you'll give up before the boat does. Put the kettle on for a brew....works for me😁😁

Hiya mate. It's a bit of TH-cam magic, this was filmed in September or October I think. I'm tucked up nice and warm now!
Nobody said it would be easy.
This is the hand you've been given.
But you know what?
Love Live Fin.

"between a rock and a sea place" ❤
Amazing what a good nap can do. Went from being a grumpus to waving at seagulls 😂

This bad weather is all good practice for when you do the Atlantic solo handed this year
Very well done
Coming into a unknown harbor at night and nature throws some fog into the mixture........fog it! 😊

Play with the autopilots gain setting if it’s not copeing with the swell. Reduce it and it’ll stop over correcting.
Eyemouth is a dangerous harbour to enter at times, so don't beat yourself up about it!
... its not a seagull, its a vulture :)

Is that real?
The seagull was waiting for you to puke.
Whitey has been following since he set out.
Sounds like your in bottle when you switch to the new mic? might be just me tho.
Audio sounds just right in the voice over. What's next? The med? Circumnavigation?
I need a different boat, then Atlantic circuit and a slow circumnavigation. Hopefully.
@@BumblingSailor**need**
@@BumblingSailor You will always need a different boat :). Don't let that stop you.
The text says you went to circumcise the UK and cut the top off.sounds painful😂
No need to be so unsecure buddy, what boat do u have?
Fog is the poachers playground....what were you REALLY doing out there 😂
