My dad was a sniper in the SEALS and he always told me that he made sure he would ALWAYS shoot in between mountains or buildings or things of that nature so the enemy cant trace where the sound of the shot is coming from . I can only imagine the things he has seen and done. He said shooting the .50 cal from 1/2 mile away would turn enemies into a pink dust. He described it as a paint can exploding. He also said one time the shot literally took the enemies torso clean off and the guys two legs were just standing there. And that terrified the vietcong. I can imagine lol
