Megumi is one of the characters I'm most satisfied with the journey, now it's a question of waiting for the conclusion.
I'm open to the tragic ending of someone who gave up or understood what they needed to but only when it was too late, just as I'm open to an evolution/overcoming the situation he is in.

Megumi was like Yuji before he was taken over: too weak to live up to the challenge. Megumi was supposed to be the deuteragonist that kept up with the protagonist, but neither of them were strong enough to matter at the time.
I think Megumi may be the poster child for Potential Man.

No. Probably around awakened Maki level. That way, if he were separated from Sukuna, he would reasonably be expected to contribute.
He had fun fights, but they only amounted to that. They didn't elevate him as a Jujutsu sorcerer.

Barely 1 year of training Jujutsu and already had tamed 6 shikigamis, got a Domain expasion and use cursed tools.
Defeated a special grade curse finger bearer alone, assisted Itadori against a A grade sourcerer and could keep up with Dogon and Toji in Shibuya.
Plus without cursed womb, Power vassel and Rika cursed energy bs.
He was already being outstanding. To be more than that in Just 1 year of training Jujutsu then you are asking for him to be a broken character like Gojo.

This is a story, bro. Maki went from weaker than Yuji to on par with Yuta. To level up a character only takes good writing to set up the moment of growth. I don't think it is unrealistic by Shonen standards.

He just born with the shadows technique that only Sukuna mastered all the 10 shadows in Jujutsu story
For Megumi to become broken out of nowhere in just a few months for no reason is straight up bad writing.
I have to share some thoughts because Megumi has always been my favorite character in the series. He is complicated and flawed and I appreciate that. So many fans seem to think you are only a good character if you kick ass but I appreciate the self-doubt and constant internal strategizing he does. I’m not entirely sure that his present actions are consistent with his character but I also know that Gege tends to never show us things until later. How aware is Fushiguro at this point of where he is and what is happening? From the inside he fought Sukuna and tanked a lot of hits so when he says “enough” but doesn’t even acknowledge Yuji I’m not even confident he felt Itadori’s presence. For all we know he thought it was in his head a vision to torture him. I’m trying to prepare myself that he may truly be “done” but I’m hoping Gege has some surprises for us with him because I feel like the series is one where there are some long term payoffs but with reading week to week it can feel like an eternity.
The comment section just proves that the JJK fanbase is full of illiterates with hard-ons for power fantasies cause why would they mischaracterize Megumi so much? he has gone through hell, Sukuna literally drowned his soul and made him kill the most important people in his life and they expect him to just walk it off like nothing?

I know Megumi hasn’t earned the shrine ability physically like Yuji did through awakening with black flash but Kusakabe basically confirmed if someone is possessed by Sukuna&they’re body remembers his special grade techniques that person has a high chance of gaining Sukuna’s CT. So I think all the mental anguish will build up to him getting that awakening moment.

I'm pretty sure that's a misunderstanding. Kusakabe was only saying that someone possessed by Sukuna has the ability to have the muscle memory for how to use jujutsu at a very high level, not so much learning Shrine in particular. Kusakabe even made that point directly because he tossed the hypotheical question of how Yuji was able to develop and grow so fast as a sorceror despite having only been one for months at best before explaining it to him, the only reason Yuji is capable of using Shrine is because (in essence) they share the same soul.
@@supersonic5432 Maybe but Gojo said due to him being a vessel his body would learn Sukuna’s CT&Kusakabe essentially doubled down on that. Sukuna was only in Yuji’s body for at most 30-40 minutes when you combine all of his appearances but as megumi he’s been using special grade jujutsu for over a month&brought out the full potential of the 10 shadows. So I think he’s getting some kind of awakening when he’s freed.

But, tbh, i clown on him mostly for the fact that people like Broken Ronin wank him so much so, that they want us to believe that his "potential man" status does actually mean that his ceiling is or EVER was higher than Yuta's or Yuji's. Hell, i am not even sure it's higher than Higruma's.
He was not ever intended to be a powerhouse, or a "trump card" of humanity.

Gege has slowly been creating openings for Megumi to make the biggest impact in a return.
1. We were told of the damage and recovery for limitless for under a second when Gojo used it before he was sealed. Megumi took it for Sukuna. He should be dribbling brain matter from his ears and nose. Yet he was able to speak.
2. He has seen everything Sukuna has done and he is taking it in.
3. Gege revealed how rct and black flashes work. Guess who's body Megumi is in?
4. Did Sukunas resurrection into Heian Era stash Megumis body separately?
5. Who's the master of shadows? Where is Megumi submerged?
6. Sukuna used water elephant blast vs Gojo.
7. What stopped Megumi from using Chimera Shadow garden? Cursed energy levels.
With all that - seeing a chaotic Megumi with full access to his Shikigami powers internalized by way of a Perfected Shadow garden fueled by Sukunas black flashes is where we're at with cope now.

The only people who complain about megumi being a “bad character” are young teenagers themselves with very poor reading comprehension.
Megumi is definitely a let down, but it is very understandable. It would be cool if he was saved, but I think it is more likely that he will somehow sacrifice himself to help stop Sukuna.

Memes aside, it’s totally understandable megumi feels this way. sure other people in the series have lost loved ones too, but not to this degree, by their own hands essentially. And it would be out of character if megumi got a talking to by yuji and just said “you’re right, I’m never gonna give up, thanks for the push yuji! :D” and then proceeds to overcome his woe with the power of friendship. This is very in line for his character and idk why people getting mad at him over this

It's literally explained how megumi would come back stronger.
Sukuna uses rct and domain expansion/amp and thr body remember it and its like muscle reflex. Explained by kusekabe like 3-4 chapters back.
Megumi wasn't built for this life like yuta, yuji and the others, everybody is young, everybody has lost something important to them, but Megumi gets special treatment? if y'all were out there fighting sukuna would y'all feel for him then while you're fighting for your life, your loved ones, your home, all while your friends are dying next to you trying to stop sukuna.

If megumi does return he will be completely overpowered. It's already stated that a sorcerer will become stronger if high level jujutsu is performed within their body. This is backed up by Yuji's case with Sukuna and the body swap training. Even Yuta has benefitted from the body swap with Gojo. At this point he's been a vessel for Sukuna for a few months. Has had probably the highest level of Jujutsu performed within his body and has witnessed astonishing levels of CT usage, RCT, Domain Expansions, Binding Vows, Black flashes and incredibly well thought out strategies. Even if he only benefits from a quarter of this he'd still be broken.

There are many reasons why i think megumi is a bum:
1. "Oh his ganna complete a domain" if he gave up then he would not even care to complete his domain.
Fun fact: his domain is the ONLY domain expansion to have not been completed.
2. He is the only guy out if the 3 first year students in tokyi high to have never hit a single black flash even nobora did it and she had half the screentime he did.
3. Imagine being alr bad at your stuff but then a demon possess you and decided to do things even better then you brother this man just analyzed your whole technique better then even you in a few months and reached the potential to even kill gojo aren't you supposed to be the one who knows your technique the best

Megumi might as well be brain dead. Dude was emotionally abused, physically bruised, and mentally damaged each multiple times. I can understand why he is at his lowest point with not much fight in him. That being said in the beginning of the series he did say he only does things for people he cares about or considers close. He will never be the same person even if he does get saved. All the people that have already died would make him feel worse for being alive. Just. Like. Yuji.
Honestly, this is easily the best Megumi video I have seen. I feel you do an amazing job at understanding what Megumi is going through while also still being fair and understanding that he ain't without fault. I have dealt with a lot of annoying JJK fans blindly hating him, and I just gotta say thank you for this video. Amazing work and you earned a new subscriber.

If gojo used a binding vow in the second domain clash with sukuna by giving up his sure hit effect of unlimited void in order to make his domain barrier stronger. Then gojo and sukuna would have to fight inside the domain to determine the winner,.and with infinity gojo is more
likely to win
The binding vow doesn't work so easly.
Hakari 's domain has his binding vow because it is the nature of his domain. It is the same reason Sukuna and Kenjaku can do a binding vow to do a barrierless domain unlike others.
Also the main reason Gojo used the domain was to win easly. He could avoid the domain expansion of Sukuna with his teleportation but wanted to kill Sukuna with unlimited void because he though it was more easy
