bro. the fact that bc the summon camera is so far back due to satanael and making Joker yell Persona sound so distant is hysterical and when he says "Pillage Him. Satanael!" is the best voice line from him imo
Satanael is actually perfect for this. They were following the mythos of Gnosticism- A 2nd century sect of Christianity that believed that early mankind was ruled over by a false god called the Demiurge or Yaldabaoth while the real God actually created it. Satanael eventually learned from Sophia that he had been serving a false god and they started a rebellion against Yaldabaoth, Satanael committed the first act of thievery by stealing the ability to grant free will to others, and gave it to humans so they could free themselves from the control of the Demiurge in his final act as an angel. So Atlus actually made the perfect choice for an ultimate persona for Joker. It's just that most people have never even heard of Gnosticism so it gets super confusing thanks to all of those retcons to The Bible done by the Catholic church centuries ago. It also didn't help that they executed gnostics and especially so if they made offerings or prayed to Satanael because that was "devil worship". That's why Lucifer, Satan, The Devil, Beezelbub, etc. all get conflated as being one super duper evil demonic entity. The church retconned scripture to erase Yaldabaoth completely and make Satan the singular source of all evil so that gnostics would be deemed evil by proxy.
@@TitoMcFadden The only reason I know anything about Gnosticism is because Genshin Impact also uses it as a base for its lore lmfao On that note I can't wait to see what they do with Sophia in P5S . Listening to "Throw Your Mask Away" again, long after completing 5 Royal with the 3rd semester's good ending, just makes me cry, now knowing the "storytelling" that song portrays. It's of the one replacing the God of Control's role, in the 3rd semester, pleading for the Phantom Thieves to accept his reality and not the one with pain & suffering, because he genuinely wants people to be free of suffering. The God of Control, did not desire the betterment of humanity.

The fact that this song is called "Our Beginning" makes me wonder if Strikers is not the only sequel we will get because there are many more hearts the Phantom Thieves could steal.

We're not called the Phantom Respecters-of-property-rights, are we?!
That was a good one lmao
"It's up to a demon lord to punish a book-wielding, sword-swinging, bell-handling, gun-shooting God"
Pov your giorno
God the Satanael line is so raw
"Your gun looks ridiculous."
"Nobody asked."
In my playthrough I accidentally timed the shot perfectly. It really added to the whole experience.
“Is it a persona?!”
*I don’t know, moron, you’re supposed to be my guide!*
_I love Meowgana I promise_
I love the persona games I’ve played 3-5R and our beginning is one of my favorite songs in the franchise and when I heard it I cried, seeing it timed with the final attack brings back so many memories of happiness and joy playing that P5 Whoever played this I think we can all wish we could go in blind again
Man that song was perfect for that fight
Idk if this timing is perfect or no tbh. On my first playthrough i (unintentionally) timed it to have the climatic guitar part at the moment the bullet was shown flying, and the peaceful part began not by the moment yaldabaoth was shot, but the moment rays of sun have reached the stage
To me this is even more perfect of a timing
And on this day, Satan saves Christmas by shooting God in the face.
GOTY 2017 (and looking at the insane amount of amazing games we got that year, that says a LOT!)
And the Royal upgrade made a perfect game even better
wasn't that botw?
@@raidev_ It was.. But Persona 5 was my personal GOTY..
Satanael: The Champion of Christmas.
The fact that this song is called "Our Beginning" makes me wonder if Strikers is not the only sequel we will get because there are many more hearts the Phantom Thieves could steal.
Yeah they could even have each dungeon from Strikers on be a completely different sin from the last.
5 Royal sorta got a sequel, in the form of 5 Tactica. Though it uses chibi art style and not the models from 5 nor 5 Royal. And it uses Sub Personas instead of letting Joker have full power over the Wild Card ability, which I assume is a carry-over from Persona Q
„Thats like some super demonlord!“
i actually did this randomly on my first playthrough, realising it was just my timing that made it happen
At that moment, Joker would forever be remembered as... 'The Phantom Thief who Slew a God'.
I know a lot of JRPGS have the trope of "teenagers go kill God with the power of friendship" but this was so cool looking, I honestly don't care if it's cliche
And that, kids, was the story of how Satan saved Christmas.
Ah, the end. Killing a god with the power of friendship, willpower, and some gun we found
Bro I just realized
it’s *quite literally* _diaboli ex machina_
Devil from a machine
Perfection.
Joker just killed a god using his sin points.
This is also how I first ended Yaldy. It was such a majestic moment with the right timing!
you went through all that and ended up chosing marukis vision
