DESIGN STORY:
With the exception of the felt adhesive failing, our cover was in great shape. After extensive searching, no proven fix could be found. We also discovered completely removing the felt exposes your hand to pinching and thermal hazards while rolling it up. Not wanting to replace the cover, it was time to use design background, open CAD and develop a solution. Unexpectedly it took 20 prototypes to dial in fit, function, and overall aesthetics. The final product was worth it and looks great on the cover.
