Always wonderful to hear Lisette sing and caress these complicated passages legato and shape them into the melody that they were supposed to be. I'm so sick of gargled and aspirated machine gun coloratura we hear in this music nowadays.
Dr.Fernando Rivas-Burattini. 🤝👏👏💐🎼🙏✝️🙏🇨🇱🇨🇱🇺🇸🇺🇸🇨🇺🇨🇺.
The aria is quite wonderful! Beautifully sung, in the Sutherland-Anderson League. I’ve been to Verona in the summer - the heat and humidity are very good for the voice!
It is interesting how many below comment on the strength and evenness of the middle voice. This was also what both Callas and Sutherland stressed as the true basis of dramatic coloratura. Her voice is lovely and her diction is very good [yes, I do speak Italian having lived there for some time.
5:21 • I believe that the fact that she also plays the clarinet must have helped the quality in her clear, practically perfect execution of the notes. It's one of the possible explanations for her being so good at articulating them! After or equal J. Sutherland, it's her! Bravo, Oropesa!
In my humble opinion, Rossini is probably the composer that better suits your beautiful voice, Lisette! Thank you so much for sharing this rendition with us, your coloratura sounds beautiful and pleasant to my ears (belcanto is not suposed to be sounding like a coloratura machine gun, as someone alreday wrote bellow, and some other singers do sound like that. The faster is Not necessarily the better, you just seem to have the perfect balance for what Rossini composed here). I hope you perform the entire role of Semiramide someday! Greetings from Lisbon!
Funny how at the ends Lisette climbs as if she would hit the High-E but changes its mind at the last second to a lower note. Of course it is her own variation and I highly doubt she hesitated but that was my first reaction anyway.
Yep, a split second hesitation, "let's keep it safe"... ;) But always done in such a musical and intelligent way. I think we're all amazed at the accomplishments made by Lisette in just a few years : Callas, Sutherland and Caballé combined in one authentic artist with a personality of her own. I HOPE there has been a video testimony of her complete recent Traviata at ROH, as this will become as legendary as the Callas Scala Traviata of 53.
@@amber40494 She did. Musically she's splendid, really reminds me of the golden age of singing. I also heard that she's a fan of Maria Callas and it shows in the way she sings.
Amazing. Unbelievable. Lisette is , by far, the best soprano of our Times. Sometimes She sings like Joan, sometimes like the greatest María, even other times like Mariella or Diana,or Anna ( both Moffo & Nebtrenko),or.... I'm keen to see U at Teatro Real. Brava Cara Amica. Perfecto.
I hear a resemblance of Edita Gruberova in the coloratura sequence at the end. Which i mean as very strong compliment. This is sung superbly well. Very, very impressive. And also creative. I have never heard these specific variations before. Are they a known variation? Or are they her personal a piacere? Maybe someone knows.
Fabulous singer! Charismatic , intelligent and she really knows how to use her instrument. J. Sutherland and Callas are unsurpassable in this repertoire, but Lissette stands on her own!!!

She is really a fine singer. Listen to how even her tone is and strong in the middle register.
Wow! Brava Lisette!!! The current Queen of Bel Canto!!!
I second that!😊
100% agree
Yes! She is! 😍
Love the dress! Looks retro 1970. Lisette, you're so beautiful
DIVINA!!!!! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! BRAVA LISETTE!!! THE BEST LYRIC COLORATURA! YOUR VOICE SHINES! ❤️🌞
The real specialty of her voice is the absolutely most beautiful warm timber in all the registers.
One of my wildest dreams is watching one of your live performances.
the richest and fullest voice today in your range Lisette! Brava!
Bravissima querida Lisette.

Grandiosa. Me gustó mucho la interpretación. Saludos cordiales desde Managua, Nicaragua 🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮
You have so much more to bring to great modern singing than a bloody high E! Most people dont do it well anyway and this was perfect!
The aria is quite wonderful! Beautifully sung, in the Sutherland-Anderson League. I’ve been to Verona in the summer - the heat and humidity are very good for the voice!
Lisette out there slaying y’all!!! Bravo!!!!!
Quite superb! Let’s hope she sings the entire role soon.
Who else sings like this today? No one. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Agree entirely!
She does. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

BRAVISSIMA ❗️😃👍💐
She's the first female opera singer I can stand to listen to outside of actual musicals and Handel's Messiah.

@@69EBubu I first heard her singing the forest bird in The Ring! HD Met opera a few years ago. She's really matured vocally !

I think she is far better than all the "leading sopranos of today"
She’s having a “steely” facet in her top notes these days.
Bravaaaaa!
La migliore in assoluto !
Wonderful!
4:41 my own personal time stamp 😂…this is the same person that said she didn’t have an E..looks like you manufactured one 😂😁
😂 but hey, she did sing it well. One of her very rare high Es besides a vos jeux mes amis and vorrei spegarvi o dio
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Videos and recordings fail to capture the beauty of her sound in a concert hall or opera house.
Thanks
