I am retired from Union Pacific Railroad working out of Argo Yard which you flew over on short final passing 500 feet, roughly a half mile North of the approach end of 14R. My pre-railroad aviation maintenance background always had me looking up as planes arrived and departed Boeing Field. I was an F-15 Crew Chief in the USAF, and worked at Las Vegas Airlines fixing Piper Navajos. That was a REALLY long time ago.
very nice, smooth and uneventful. your photography is excellent, especially because we can see the displays. the airplane flys itself (almost). Liked !
Thank you so much for coming along for the ride with me. If you have any special aviation interests let me know and I’ll try get some published for you in the shorts format
Awesome. I did most of my PPL at KBFI - right next to the FBO where you parked at Galvin Flying - which unfortunately was shut down recently because KBFI increased the rent so much at no flight school is feasible at this airport. A similar issue has been happening at KRNT, so now there is suddenly no flight school in the immediate area.
What?? I did my PPL at Galvin in the 90's. My instructor was an old guy named John Caughlin. I'm now in Ohio. Sad to hear the flying schools are being forced out.
This channel would be far more watchable with 2 modifications. 1) Camera needs to be mounted in center so that cockpit activities can be seen (and not just a view of the left side of pilots head), and 2)….comms.
Definitely with you on the comms…I’m sourcing an interface to start including the ATC and Intercom. Mounting the camera in the centre does pose its challenges but I’ll give it a try and see what the results are like Thank you kindly for the feedback! Very much appreciated
Pilots jobs are a mix of extremely dangerous, and also extremely easy. Easy because for most of the flight the plane flies itself, and the pilots just monitor everything. Extremely dangerous because most pilots still take over on takeoff and landing which are the 2 most critical and dangerous parts of any flight. Even though modern airliners can even land themselves.
Maybe not extremely dangerous but you’ve certainly highlighted correctly the most dangerous parts of the flight. A lot of modern aircraft don’t have auto land installed….ours included! We do find ways to keep busy while the autopilot is doing its thing in cruise. It’s a great tool👍
You cant land on centerline with a hud? Wont fly with the a/p off until less than 100agl in severe clear vmc? Sweaty palms right before turning off a/p? This was odd.
Fair call and no excuses, but you missed a few things. * ILS failed to capture due to software upgrade on the first flight out of a 2.5 month maintenance visit. * Multiple failures on delivery from maintenance and after our test flight (Acceotable defects and MELs) * Conference calls with the operator and Gulfstream as to whether we accept the aircraft * Unfamiliar Airspace/Airport (Very helpful ATC though) * 2 months since I’d flown with the aircraft being in maintenance Sweaty palms…it’s just something I do before disconnecting the autopilot on every flight. Feel free to check out some of my other videos to confirm but the centreline….yeah that’s on me! 😂😂 Genuinely appreciate your thoughts and thanks for sharing
Butter! 🧈
(23:30) I can literally see my home! 😁
Many thanks. It was a privilege to visit

Amazing! Crew chief on the F-15 is something very special.
What did you end up doing at Union Pacific Railroad?
Gotta be one of the most beautiful places to fly into! When it’s not overcast!😊
Amazing experience and definitely a bucket list item for me
Great video, the view is amazing. Mt. Rainier off of the nose was beautiful. Thanks, I really enjoy your posts. Happy New Year!
@@dmacdonell Very happy you enjoyed the video. Thanks for the feedback and have a great New Year 🎉

@Skylineschannel I didn't mention in my previous message, but my wishes of a great year goes to your family as well. 👍
@ Thank you 🙏
Starting the New Year with and amzing landing in BFI
@@RoverAirlines Trying to kick the new year off with a good one 😂
@ 😂
Is this a wide angle camera illusion or did you guys intentionally land off centerline?
Nah that one was on me. I’m still chasing the perfect flight
@@SkylineschannelGrowth never comes without humility! Thanks for sharing, wishing you all the best in your flights!
Wow, with those views it would be difficult to concentrate on flying !
It’s a challenge! 😂
We are lucky to do our work
Greased that landing. Slick. Must have been Air Force.
I wish! Much respect to all serving in the military 🙏
Thanks for your comment. Much appreciated
KCIA, My old work place. 10 years ARFF. Got to see a ton of cool airplanes.
Very grateful to you and your colleagues for the service you provided at KCIA. If it ever hits the fan, I want you guys there to get us home safe 🙏
Very nice video love it you earned a new Sub!

@@Skylineschannel Could I ride along with you all :d
And not only a bucket list, you flew the majestic north approach rather than the boring south approach.
Coming in past the city was amazing
Looks like good old V4...
What Date/Time was this?
While ago now. Can’t remember the exact date
Why is the horizon so far below eye level at altitude?
Not sure on that one but I’ve definitely noticed it
Had office space there years ago. 🌺
What were you doing?
I think I watched you do the bay visual approach from my place
This one was via the ILS today
25:43 passing only Costco in Seattle
Oh no! I didn’t get a chance to visit 😔
You can tell this is in the USA, because he landed in the right lane of the runway.
Haha very true 😂

@ yup - now KPAE is the closest airport with a flight school - or I'm told Auburn Municipal
That really does suck! Affordable and available good flight training is definitely what our industry needs
ATC audio in the video would be nice instead of the background noise
Thank you for the feedback. I’m working on acquiring an interface to include ATC and intercom 👍
huge!

Haha The FlightSim graphics these days are pretty exceptional
