It's great that you reacted to Abba. Yes it sounds very, very Abba, and although it's new and fresh, it is absolutely distinctively them and I agree it wouldn't sound out if place amongst their earlier songs. But also they have moved on, lyrically. Having listened and enjoyed the whole album, you can tell they're writing having experienced life. They write relevant to their age and experiences, normal human, life experiences that many, many of their fans will relate to.

This is not recycled tunes this is legitimately new music. It is hearing ABBA both today and the first time we heard them sing.

I love everything about this song and the whole concept to their come back. Hearing those gorgeous voices again.. like meeting a dear old friend after so many years. I feel no shame admitting, that I cried like a baby watching that evening for the come back. Loved it.
This 2021 ABBA sounds like the ABBA of the early 70’s . Great tune and reaction Nat! 👍
To confirm: “I Still Have Faith In You” was recorded 1st, in 2017, the second song recorded during the same sessions was “Don’t Shut Me Down”. Both were released on September 2nd 2021, those were known about prior to the live stream on 2nd September. “I Still Have Faith In You” was released digitally, physically on CD Single plus a 1 sided 7 inch single. “Don’t Shut Me Down”, digitally and physical CD but not on vinyl which many fans still hope will eventually come. The big surprise on September 2nd was the announcement of the new album:”Voyage”. The concert tour begins May 2022 in London and takes the album name and those 2 songs are included in the set list.

This is the album that should've been the natural progression from "The visitors". And it is, just 40 years after the previous release.

Yeah! Good on ya, Nat! This was my first listen as well & I enjoyed that they were able to create something new that was reminiscent of what we already loved about them. The lyric video led me to realize how much I appreciate the singability of Abba, meaning catchy, buoyant, & easy to ride along with. Well done! Welcome back!

Welcome back, it’s great to see you react again. I both loved and was a disappointed at the same time. It was like I wanted to hear abba but it was the same abba , I know that doesn’t make a lot of sense 😆 the more you actually listen to the depth of the song the more it drags you in . I love fully orchestrated music so the strings do it for me too. Looking forward to seeing more reactions x
