Oh what a wonderful quilt that Suzanne made during a horrible time in her life. My mother had breast cancer twice, with her 1st mastectomy she was told that if she went 5 (?) years without it going into the other breast then it probably would not. Two weeks before that 5 year mark she was diagnosed with it again. Early detection is the most important thing.....
Hello Suzanne. So glad you are doing well. I’ll never forget your wonderful class for our EGA. Guild in St Louis. Maybe 30 years ago! You have been an inspiration to me ever sense.
Thank you very much for hosting this Ricky and giving us news of Alex. 😘. It’s great to hear she is doing well. Thank you Suzanne for sharing your journey too😘
Thank you, Ricky for sharing this story. Suzanne is amazing. I too am a BC survivor, diagnosed in 2005. I encourage friends to get their mammograms. Every story is different and I'm glad Suzanne is doing well. I pray that Alex gets along well after her surgery.
Suzanne is the most lovely person and my favourite quilter, her work is exquisite and unique. I emailed her years ago and never expected a reply from such a famous quilter and she emailed me straight back, she is so down to earth and a beautiful soul.
Suzanne Marshall was neighbor and dear friend of one of my mothers best friends, Mary Stewart. While mom and I were still in St. Louis we both were able to meet her and be introduced to her work when we first started quilting! Her work is inspirational and amazing! Thank you for showing her Mastectomy Quilt again, I had forgotten this piece! She is a delightful and positive woman.
I'm a 28 year breast cancer survivor. Suzanne's story is amazing. Thanks!
Suzanne came to our Guild in Southern Illinois many years ago.. Applique class.. amazing Lady.. Thank you Ricky
