No dear, they’re saying that you don’t have to be a Wiccan to be a witch, they’re two different things. Witches can have alters absolutely, I have one myself lol, but I’m not part of the Wiccan religion
Let me just say as a crafty witch, that this alter is ADORABLE and I LOVE IT. I don't see myself putting in quite that much effort, though maybe over time I would try to do all the little things you did to up this tiny alter game
Suggestion for people looking for small items for their altars should check doll house miniatures! I even found candle holders with the candles a small caldron, mortar and pestle! Etsy also has a dealer in miniature athames and knives for sacred usage!
I've been looking for a tutorial for something like this. I have so many tins! This is a great idea. All my witch friends getting travel altar kits for their birthdays!
This is so cute and adorable and everything! Love to see peoples portable altars, this is the kind of thing that make me proud to be a witch and to see the Craft happening.
All I can say is wow. I'm adding this to my Halloween playlist. I have a Christmas dollhouse and a fairy garden dollhouse. When I make a Halloween theme dollhouse I would make this for it.
Yeeess ahahaha. I don't use portable altars but sticking any smoke stuff in an Altoids tin (as long as you don't have to worry about smell LOL) usually works great
excellent, a fellow pagan as we are often just misunderstood. I am off to sell my wares this summer in Van life, many lovers of magic out there, safe journey, see u in the sky. new subscriber here
I have to go visit family and leave my altar to Artemis soon, so I will bring this as a little piece of Her and my devotion to Her with me! Of course, as a way of honoring Her, I'll of course make one for Apollo, too, and take Him with me, as well! Best Goddess/God combo, eh?
The crystal ball looks like it's just a clear marble, but I don't know, maybe you can find the right kind of material at a gem show or store, not sure what you use
I think you can make a little box literally for every purpose , for putting jewellers in it,a small present and make it as a gift box,y you can store small things there, use it for caramels or can create a nice small piece of art .
To all baby witches 🚨 you don’t need all this! You can have a very simple alter without all of the fancy stuff. It is very beautiful and your welcome to do it if you want but don’t be discouraged because you can’t do all the fancy stuff!
I totally agree. You do not need fancy paraphernalia or tools for crafting or magic. I ALWAYS encourage people to use what they have on hand, make substitutions, do what works for them. My only intent with any of the projects I share is to inspire and encourage creativity to anyone... baby witches, crones, and non magical folk too.
I like this, but I don't get the purpose of the trap door? What is the thought behind this, if you already have the inside decorated and are using a box to enclose everything? I want to make one but I'm not sure if I should put in the extra effort for the trap door if I'm not sure its purpose
Olivia Rodriguez with the trapdoor, you can use the inside as a sort of “altar cloth” to set up your spell, instead on setting it up on the floor or wherever you are! it also can keep things from banging around in the box to a degree.
The only thing well one thing id add is a few glass thermometers and a few pennies a spring fuse and compas and automatic co2 tester and a mental detector along with a tree spike and tree steps that a spike can access water with in a tree trunk or cactus and the reactant of the magnesium and coper penny cause heat and other things I can't add but it can help to find water within a rock mountain straight from the source with in the earth
Pls tell me you have like dollar tree type diys too? My options are limited and mail ppl suck here. Don't trust them so I rare mailorder anything. I need a small alter bc kids get into everything and husband is a Christian... Can't have my things out n about like some. I really love this idea
That bird skull charm. Can you explain what it is for? It looks like my neclace that I wear. I have been wearing it for the past 5 years but I only got into this witchy path only recently..
I have an affinity for birds so that's why I have it. To me they are usually messengers, and, depending on the bird, hold specific meanings. Enjoy discovering your path, embrace what holds meaning for you. Sometimes just being drawn to something is reason enough to use it
I initially made these because I wanted something to travel with. It was tiny enough that it didn't take up any room in my luggage but allowed me to continue my weekly rituals. It was nice to have a compact pocket sized parcel with everything I needed to make sure my devotion wasn't disrupted (tiny incense/candle/herbs/vessel for water).
Some Altoid tins are flat. There are also other brands of mints that come in flat tins. If you don't want to hunt those down, you can purchase blank tins online.
Does anyone know what brand of incense they're using? I've looked everywhere and can't find a brand of incense sticks small enough to fit in an Altoids tin. Would love to know what kind they're using here!
That birthday candle was such a smart idea! I was wondering the whole time, "Where the hell do you get tiny candles" completely went over my head lol
Lol
Lmao
Samsies! like where? now I know what I need from the dollar tree! lol
When I first heard of a mini alter I was picturing someone using an old tackle box or tool box. I was way off lol.
Altar
I would use the old tackle box to store my tarot & the oracle cards collection...plus candles .pendulums etc
It’s like a little Wiccan suitcase I love it.
Not all witchws are wiccan
Just An Awkward Shoe
No one said that.

Could add an embarrassing snapshot of Spongebob at the Christmas party.

Thats so cute!!! My bf is terrified of the occult. I think I will create a mini altar for myself!!!
have you told your boyfriend yet ?
We need an update
Did you leave him yet?
@@k1ttyk4tlov3scak3 should never have to convince someone to leave their partner just because they don't follow the same faith/beliefs.
Y'all still together?
I think I would use this to hold charms or little trinkets from my craft that are easily lost
Suggestion for people looking for small items for their altars should check doll house miniatures! I even found candle holders with the candles a small caldron, mortar and pestle! Etsy also has a dealer in miniature athames and knives for sacred usage!
As a broom closeted baby witch, this really helped! Thank you!
Same!! (Although I am not broom closeted anymore but still a baby witch I am)
This is one of the MOST innovative things I have seen on just about ANY crafts that I've been watching lately! WONDERFUL!

Wait you're using something from an actual religion as a decoration what-
@@weewooilookjustlikebuddyho2927 That sounds odd to me (:
Just An Awkward Shoe you’re right but witchcraft is a practice not a religion
@@weewooilookjustlikebuddyho2927 well Christmas is based in religion too, so....
I use a small headphones case. I painted over the case and then put a pendulum, birthday candles, incense matches, and a pictures of things I love.
This is the best pocket altar ive ever seen! Great job thank you
I thought the birthday candles were joints at first lmao. That's what I need in my altar.
I use weed in my witch craft :)
hahaha same and I thought oh thats the perfect thing to add to a portable altar LOL
Yeeess ahahaha. I don't use portable altars but sticking any smoke stuff in an Altoids tin (as long as you don't have to worry about smell LOL) usually works great
Let me just get my joint for my witchcraft
This was amazingly well done and beautiful! Wish I had the patience to make one for myself, I rather buy one from you
I love your vibrant positivity
Aww. This is so tiny, cute, and creative! I am thinking of making my own now!
I just love everything you create!! My current favorite is the little matchbook note holder.
This is amazing! You gave me the inspiration to create an ornate tarot box with plain tarot tins. Thanks!
Thank you so much, I've always wanted to make an altered altoid tin! Great tutorial!

I see what you did there
Unbelievably Awesome! I have a bunch of tins too. Tfs Debbie🔮

What type of glue do you recommend?
Judging from the bottle we saw briefly, it may be Aleene's Original Tacky Glue. Maybe.
Adorable and the tiny besome... I love it
amazing idea, I will definitely try making my own! thank you :)

What a cool project!! Thank you so much for sharing!
Where you get those bobs and bits? Thi insence holder, candle dish, crystal ball stand, besom?
I was wondering that too. Maybe they're doll house plates and bowls or something?
The crystal ball looks like it's just a clear marble, but I don't know, maybe you can find the right kind of material at a gem show or store, not sure what you use
I use sewing grommets with 1/4-inch hole from Wal-Mart and marbles with e6000 to make mini crystal balls with stand.
Beautiful!
Very cool- where can you find the tiny plates/bowls that you place the candles/crystal ball on?
The dollhouse-making section of the craft store, or anywhere dollhouse furniture can be ordered online.
i like watching this kinda stuff especially when there not long winded with mumbo jumbo.
What a fun project! Your supply list doesn't include the source for your tiny bobs and bits. Where did the tiny candle holder come from?
Omg that's so cute.
Very beatifull idea 💡
ooo the one with the tree in it! must be the virgo in me.
Love this!!

I think you can make a little box literally for every purpose , for putting jewellers in it,a small present and make it as a gift box,y you can store small things there, use it for caramels or can create a nice small piece of art .
And of course is easy to find these boxes in many sizes to fit your needs.
